Hi Dr. Andy, I have 6 days left until my final exams start. I’m in Grade 11 and a commerce learner. I planned my study schedule using the 7-5-3-1 method, where I study 7 days, 5 days, 3 days, and 1 day before each exam. However, I’ve just realized that I don’t have much time left. I’m worried I won’t be able to cover everything.

The brain can only take a certain amount of data throughout the day. I used to study three subjects in a day, but I realized I feel sleepy with the second subject. So I take 30min power naps after studying the first subject. This helps my mind feel fresh and ready to study the following subject.

Good question. It’s important to allocate enough time for each topic to avoid this. If it’s a long topic you might want to spread it across a couple of days and each day focus of each section of the topic

Do you spend time on social media? When I was doing my matric in Namibia 2023, I realized I found it difficult to focus on my studies. So I decided to switch off my phone and only use it when I needed to. I began to see changes, I could focus and study for longer periods.

Heyy, yesss… if you keep getting excellent results you can secure a bursary, just make sure you APPLY APPLY APPLY…you can also apply for NSFAS they don’t have high academic requirements you just have to be from a poor financial background.

Is it true that even when you pass your finals really well your SBA will determine your final mark by decreasing your mark ?

Hi, your SBA does contribute to your final mark but it counts 25%, if you don’t do well in it then it will definitely lower your final mark because it has to be added to your final exam mark which counts 75%
