Driving along the coast of Davao Oriental I found my #BecomingFilipino journey in the capital city of the province of Davao Oriental... Mati!
From waking up in the morning with delicious and cheap empanadas, to hanging out on dahican beach attempting skim boarding... and of course... to finding DAVOR!! The Whale...
Mati is another hidden gem! It is a beautiful place! I couldn't believe that I was there on a weekend!? The beach still had barely anyone on it! If you love surfing there is some great break and the locals will be happy to help you out! It is such an amazing place to just kick back and relax! As they say...
"The Stress Free Zone"
I will be back Mati! I will be back very soon! Oh and if you are looking for a Skim boarding and Surfing Legend... just find "Master Bangkong". He is a legend!

It is such a beautiful place. The white foam contrasting with the bight translucent blue waves makes it the most amazing beach I've ever seen! Now, I knew why it called " Stress Free Zone".
