MEETING MY GIRLFRIEND IN BAGUIO...
Such a wonderful and very cool city (probably the coldest in the Philippines). On this day, I go for a walk to a bamboo forest with Therine. Baguio really seems to be one of the most walkable cities in the Philippines. Not only are there good sidewalks and areas for pedestrians... but the cold temperatures and abundance of parks really make this a beautiful place to explore by walking!
After a bamboo forest adventure, we head to the famous Burnham Park and have a little picnic. Form there, Therine has to work... so I continue walking to show you a beautiful display of Cordillera artistry and weaving. Then, we end at a really unique little coffeeshop that overlooks Sessions Road. Guesthaven Coffee is awesome! Baguio is awesome!
This was such a wonderful day with my girlfriend in the Philippines...

You should have tried Vizcos. It bakes one of the locally loved cakes. Their strawberry cake comes with fully loaded fresh strawberries and the sweetness is but right to taste. Hi Kyle, it’s good you visited the Bamboo Sanctuary, That’s my boyhood playground before, St. Francis Seminary. Our house is at Siapno Road. I attended too the inception of the project. We actually encouraged people of Baguio to plant bamboos. It was the project of the late Bishop Carlito Cenzon. I’m now living here in Winnipeg, Canada.

Haven't been to Baguio for a long time since my SLU boys high days back in 83'. So much had changed. Burnham Park looks like it's been revitalized. Session Rd however still looks the same, just the signs are different. There was more greenery back then than buildings. I guess way more people there now than before, no surprise there. Glad you're back with Therine...nice pun with the pine tree..haha It's a very walkable city. I walked everywhere when I was there, even during the rainy days. Sometimes clouds just descend all of a sudden and you'll be drenched and cold, and you can't see where you're going...so cool. One thing though, you have to have a healthy heart and somewhat fit to go through all that up and down strolls. Same thing if you go through the mountain provinces. Quite fun though. FYI: Baguio is twin sister city of Vaughan (a city north of Toronto, Ontario, Canada). Stumbled upon a sign at Steeles ave and Dufferin st when I was dropping off a co-worker on my way home. It clicked in my head when you said at 12:40 'It's like walking to the campground in Canada'.

You visited the coolest place in the country, Baguio. Its cooler than Tagaytay and Marawi city because of the place higher elevation.
