Hey Kulas, salamat kaayo sa imong pag pakita sa among dapit sa Northern Mindanao sa tibook kalibutan...while some Filipinos like to be Westerners, you have chosen to be like us - Filipinos!..More power to you!...you should also visit Bacolod City, Talisay City and Silay City in Negros Occidental. There are lots of historical places to visit and nice countryside. You should also visit Iloilo City.

northern mindanao and davao areas are safe but if you go deeper in the regions you need local company to tour you around im from Marawi CIty south of cagayan de oro and marawi is at highground so it has a chill climate similar to baguio at night time it can get really cold that you need a jacket. i visited there 6years ago and there were cool natural sights to see that is unique and you will not find anywhere else. deep in the regions of mindanao are not in mainstream media
