i could see now the theme you adopted in building your beach house...... its is the taste and standard of yesteryears.....like an outhouse away from the house, an airy interior with amaken that allow venting of the heat inside the house, first floor with a crawl space which during the olden days are made higher where chicken can roost or have the nest to lay eggs and hatch the chicks, nipa roofing where it can be replaced easily after damage from a typhoon.....

That's because tomatoes are very acidic. It neutralizes the bitterness of the bitter melon (ampalaya). It is also the reason why it's not advisable to cook tomato dish in cast-iron cookware. Another way to remove the bitterness is to soak it in briny water for a few minutes, wring it the salt water before cooking.

Just had dinner 10 mins ago before watching this content and we also had sautéed ampalaya with lots of tomatoes and egg, I love ampalaya since I was a kid because pakbet was my favorite food growing up ( until now actually, I can eat pakbet everyday ! ), mama Rosa is right! Tomatoes take the bitterness off of ampalaya , my ilokana lola told us that when she makes pakbet using only 6 ingredients: ampalaya, talong, bagoong isda, onion, and tons of tomatoes! And top with bagnet.... ampalaya is a very nutritious vegs, also good for lowering blood sugar for diabetics like me! ( that's why I eat it several times a week ) ampalaya is life!👍👍👍👩🍳
