I have been a Christian my whole life. I still remember details from my conversion with my dad at 3 years old. I’d gone to church the entirety of my life. I feel away in my teens because of situations with my family. It seemed fake…not real…I came back and found God again for myself in my late teens. I married a “Christian” woman and worked in a local church as a worship and youth pastor. Things went south with the marriage and I ended up getting divorced and came back home. My now ex-wife I felt had betrayed me, the church had turned its back on me when I needed them the most. I moved back home and eventually quit going to church and my walk hit a wall. Fast forward to January of this year and I got my final wake up call with a ER stay of 5 days. God answered my cries for help and when I heard this song it immediately became my theme. We are on the backend-praise God!-of a demonic (I believe) oppression through my oldest's (23) serious mental illness & the fallout from navigating through the presentation to diagnosis & treatment plan & all the emotional trauma that goes with it. We're all miles away from where we were 2yrs ago. God has I don't even know how many active (& obvious to me) miracles happening in our lives. We're moving from living life in defensive mode to living in offensive mode. Your song says it all. 'prognoses' included. I can vividly see where God's gonna use each of us. & More importantly how he's going to ENABLE us to do Kingdom work. Matter of fact, I can see the 3 of us being a part of a great movement of God. Hey Chris, I feel your pain. My wife of 27 yrs married, died March 6, 2024 after fighting Parkinson's Disease for 9 yrs. I was her caregiver for the past 4.5 yrs. There are no words that can take away the pain, but you must allow yourself to grieve. God & time will heal the hurt the hurt. I can say this because my first wife & 18 yr old son died in 1996 from a car accident. Only God got me thru that He will get me & you thru this as well. Grieve, but grieve with hope (1 Thes 4:13).

A month ago I was plotting on how to take my life. I was bound by lust, addiction to drugs, lost sight of Christ and let ego drive me to do the wrong things and lost my partner of 6 years. When I heard this song I burst into tears. A few days ago I just had a massive melt down and sat on my floor with my Bible pleading for God to help me. Since then I’ve found so much peace, God really listens and answers our prayers! I’m now praying he will open up my ex’s heart to reconciliation.

Heard this song for the first time about 2 yrs ago. I was so brokenhearted & depression had a horrible grip! I spent a few (all night long) nights bawling & listening to this song over & over & over. I believe this song was one of the things God used to heal my brokenness.
