Growth is a part of development. Growth starts from infancy period till it stops when a child gains maturity in the adolescence period. Growth is of limited time period. Growth is of quantitative nature because it is easily measured and observed whereas Development is a on going process and it is of qualitative nature and it include aspects of social ,emotional,behavioural ,cognitive ,mental or intellectual level , physical,sexual ,IQ level and spiritual. Development is specific in nature whereas growth is general in nature. Growth include change in height ,weight and size of the body parts . Growth and development are two different terms in psychology. Development is a wider and comprehensive term in nature . Development take all aspects together .Development lasts till life span of a person.
