Looks very cool. I really want them, but to spend $90- $100 just for a tie down, no way for me.

Yeah, the price is the kicker. I work in an industry that makes many things out of CNC aluminum. I handed this tie down to the owner of the company/CNC operator. He started inspecting the method as to how it was produced and immediately said "This must be at least $100". There's a lot to the process: 3D modeling, CNC, Sanding, Anodizing, Laser Etching. I think they're worth it

This is more of a "luxury art piece" I say. Ain't denying the amount of work making this pair that involves CNC and sourcing materials, but the OEM plastic works just good and require no tools for installation or taking off if you ever need to adjust the position. Also no overtightening would occur thanks to the ratcheting torque limiting system built into the plastic ones. Unless these cleats can be mass-produced to cut down the cost ($75-100 for one pair at *Max* ), people ain't buying them, or the people who buys them may never really use them for the actual purpose.

I've actually used mine quite a bit. Trip to Mammoth camping recently and I've done a couple of trade shows that needed some equipment tied down. They come in handy and happen to fit my tie downs better than the plastic stock ones

They're currently $139 for a pair. The price crept up the last year though - they used to be $109/119 from what I remember.

I agree, but the quality is there. My neighbor was checking these out the other day....I told him the price and he checked them out some more.....he now owns some.

They are pricey, but the quality is there. Quick story - Before I installed, I handed these to a good friend of mine who's a machinist. The first words of his mouth was "Wow, these got be like $100". It's not so much for the raw material, but the design, mill time, anodizing and laser etching. It's all about the labor.

😂 Just a quick review for those considering. IMO, making a quality item from Aluminum, anodizing, laser etching, etc does cost money. The Chinese have given us poor quality, poor fitment, poor service, etc. Not with these
