Erin Lawrence Thank you for the response. I also have one more question. I read a review on Amazon that basically implies that you need to the app to do everything even the most basic functions like stopping the alarm. How accurate is that?

You can stop the alarm on the clock in the morning, but adjusting most settings, and turning it off from being on its schedule, yes, you do need the app. I was out of town and i had to have my husband unplug it because I wasn't there to re-set it.

I love the Google Home I ordered it at launch i love being able to walk in my house and tell it to play KZbin videos on my TV it actually turns on the TV and starts the video when its connected to a Chromecast my daughter loves also and the speaker sounds great when playing music
