AMAZING catch! those Bedford Hill Rigs are beyond badass from the Sirens, horns to the rig itself. now why can't FDNY be like that
@LowHudEmergency8 жыл бұрын
Thanks! Haha we call them "FDNY North" sometimes because of all the Seagraves and how good their reputation is. Thanks for watching!
@centralnewyorkresponses78875 жыл бұрын
FDNY needs to put a Q on all their trucks, after buying Spartan/4Guys Engines and ladders. Rescues are fine. They just got replacements almost ready.

Awesome catch! Heard it when it came in. Tanker 5 is a beast, I remember riding on it a few years ago.

Thanks! Yeah, I love all of Bedford Hills' rigs.

I wish we had cool old stations where I'm from. Most fire companies here really started their history running out of barns and then to "brick and mortar" single story buildings built on larger plots of land. "Different histories, same job"
@LowHudEmergency8 жыл бұрын
Yeah, lots of old stations around here. A lot of these towns are very old with a lot of history.
@LancasterResponding8 жыл бұрын
+LowHudEmergency We have farming communities so there isn't much history to go around. Basically one city surrounded by small towns.
@LowHudEmergency8 жыл бұрын
Westchester County is extremely diverse. It goes from dense urban areas and cities down along the Bronx border in the south to very rural suburbs in the north, with your average suburban neighborhoods in between. But there hasn't really been any farming around here in over 100 years. Mostly forest and wetlands in the more rural parts. But like I said, a lot of these towns are very old and have a lot of history.
@LancasterResponding8 жыл бұрын
+LowHudEmergency Sounds cool. I love history. Lancaster County doesn't have much claim to fame other than the Amish. Probably the biggest thing to happen here historically is when they burned the bridge down in Columbia to stop the Confederates from advancing over the Susquahanna.

Lancaster, get up to Schuylkill County! A lot of FDs are still operating out of "row-home" style stations in the middle of the block!

beautiful rigs. love the lightbar on rescue 44. so do they have 2 stations?
@DLuccia3278 жыл бұрын
I believe there are 3 stations in Bedford
@LowHudEmergency8 жыл бұрын
Thanks! Yeah the light bar is mounted like that to fit inside the firehouse as you can see. No, Bedford FD and Bedford Hills FD are two entirely independent departments. Bedford just receives automatic mutual aid for any sort of structural fire or for alarms at certain larger structures in their district. Bedford is often referred to as "Bedford Village" to avoid confusion. As Dan Luccia said, there are 3 fire departments within the Town of Bedford - Bedford (Village), Bedford Hills, and Katonah. But all three are independent from each other.

Rescue 44 has quite the flat/streamlined roof; I'm assuming that's so it will fit in the station! haha
@LowHudEmergency8 жыл бұрын
Yes it is. You can see when it pulls out that it just barely fits. Thanks for watching!
@Gregwing5 жыл бұрын
A neighboring company had same problem only, when they spec'd the engine, they forgot about the height added by the light bar. Mounted new light bar to front
@LIVINGSTONHOSE8 жыл бұрын
wow. your catching a lot of Seagraves lately. lol keep it up

Man, you wouldn't believe the bad luck I've had with Bedford Hills in the past and now I've gotten them like 4 times in the past month. But hey, I'm not complaining, haha. Thanks!

Why didn't Rescue 44 turn on its siren? It just blasted its horn and that's it. It's Pretty weird don't you think LowHudEmergency?
@HighOnLife19855 жыл бұрын
I wouldn't think that would be weird. Maybe to give a warning to clear the intersection, hence he had the stop sign. The other two apparatus I can understand making more of a racket because they had traffic coming up, not to mention, these two were bigger rigs too, but I'm sure someone has a better explanation =D

@@EyeWatchThemAll they keep it out until the rescue returns so they don’t have to move it again
