Hello Steve. It’s Harrison. Always a pleasure visiting your store. I watch your every video about shoes. I enjoy how you explain the inside out of each pair. True craftsmanship

What I like about your videos is that you show more detail and more repair types with each video. The back of the shoe lining was great. I also like how you talk to the viewers like we are your friends and you preemptively respond to comments made in the past like about the hammering or not going into enough detail on a particular aspect of a repair.. As always a beautiful job and you are right about the expense - you advise the customer and in the end do what they want. Your vids are not as frequent as in the past, but you are the best!

I love this channel! It brought back memories that I didn’t even know I have! After I found your channel, I remembered my mom taking our shoes to be repaired. I was knee high to a grasshopper so I had completely forgotten. We didn’t have a lot of money like your customers today with expensive shoes - if your shoes still fit, it was economical to get them fixed instead of buying new ones. What you do is a lost art! As an artist, I really appreciate the craftsmanship!

I don't want to take you out of business but I have found THE perfect quick-fix for tears in heel linings. All you need is kinesiology tape (I don't know if that is a thing in the US). Just cut it in place, round the edges and you have saved your lining for e v e r, since it dosn't slip nor tear. And because of the soft fabric you don't even notice it while wearing. I would love to see you try this in one of your videos! Just a quick low budged fix ;) Btw. I showed one of your videos to my sister and now almost my entire family watches you :D I guess we just love good craftsmanship.

Beautiful work Steve! Love the attention to detail. Screw the people who get angry at a cobbler for hammering. So ridiculous. I for one am very happy that you show all the steps thoroughly. I hate when videos move too fast and you can't really see the technique.

Outstanding videos. I have a bunch of Magnanni shoes. I intend to get them resoled when needed but if I had a pair in that shape I think I would toss them as you can usually get them heavily discounted. Can’t imagine what all that work would cost. Fascinating to see how these things are made and repairs are done though!

It's practically an entirely new shoe! The pair is nicer than they were new, and better constructed than ever intended by the manufacturer. The customer should be pleased! Mentioning the patina on the leather was nicely informative; it really does add unique character, and is one reason why shoes made of high quality/peculiar leather are sought after.

Incredible craftsmanship Steve. I have often thought the heel counters must be so hard to do. It’s such a shame so many manufactures skimp on that section so much. There should never be paper there, it should be all leather and thick at that.!

In the 70s my mother did a lot of sewing for a living, both fabric and leather, she always complained about the machines, she said it was the timing but she did say a lot of problems could be solved by tension adjustments, thread, right sharp needle. Timing issues she had to get a mechanic that was more tricky.

So for all intents and purposes. You have made a brand new pair of shoes in this video. They looked bleak in the beginning. You're a great teacher, I learned a lot of terminology like baroque. That is a word I had no idea existed in the shoe industry. This is what I plan to do when I retire and am collecting all of my information and tools and products now it'll take a few years. Thank you for what you do. I would like to have a Vibram sole put on a pair of ballet Style shoes and now I realize it's possible. "You're a good man Charlie Brown"!!👍👍
