It’s so interesting to see the differences in various countries. I gave birth in the U.K. in December and since it’s a public/free healthcare system they ask that you do bring everything, including the hat and diaper for when baby is born and your own towel. They provide a bed, medication and food and ask you bring everything else unless it’s an emergency of course and you don’t have anything with you.

That is definitely interesting! It's so different here. I would rather it be that way because we are basically forced to pay for things we don't necessarily need. Even with insurance our stay at the hospital had a pretty big hospital bill attached to it.

Yeah Canada is the same, I watched so many postpartum and hospital bags videos before I had my first daughter I a few thinks but almost nothing thinking they would provide . I was definitely wrong lol but I guess I’d rather bring my own stuff anyways

Love your hospital bag it’s just basic and minimal I have seen some people bring a lots of stuff I thought they’re going on vacation. When I had my first baby 11 years ago it was an emergency I didn’t pack anything the hospital had everything for me only stay for 24 hours and they sent me home

Wish garden doesn't sell that afterease anymore 😞 so sad because I really wanted it for when I delivered my first baby. I plan on using cramp bark extra pills that I took for period cramps. They make me sleepy but they def help and are a better alternative to motrin. Loved your video.

It was incredibly helpful at night! I loved that I could lay down and see my babies safe inside. I used it for both of our kids when they were newborns. Each of them used it for about 4 months. But I started sleep training super early and put them in their cribs as soon as I could. They aren't selling the exact model I share in the video anymore, but this one is super similar. I'm glad this video helped you! 😊 I definitely recommend getting as much done as you can in your second trimester! The third trimester it gets so hard to move around, plus exhaustion starts to kick in. It always helps me sleep better when I get stuff like this done too because it's one less thing I have to think about 😅

I didn't bring nearly as much the second time around! And don't need to! ☺️so this list can help guide you to make sure you bring everything you need but just try to keep it as simple as possible 😊

Are the flip flops to prevent you from shipping in the shower?

I've always been taught to wear flip flops in public showers to help prevent any weird fungus or ringworm infection. I think it's actually mostly for gym showers because they don't get cleaned as often. Hospital showers should definitely be cleaned between patients, but you can never be too careful! They do help prevent slipping too, plus there isn't usually a bath mat in hospital bathrooms so once you get out of the shower they are nice to have on (I took a hospital towel and laid it on the floor as a bath mat too).
