I really enjoyed this video, myself and my partner live in what pre 1930s was Ezra Chapel in Bedworth but from research was converted by Mr. Bunney in the early 1930s on to housing (I love our home) sadly aside from one photo of the original chapel I can't find anything else of the original building

I was born here in the mid 60’s(a home birth) parents moved to Bulko 6 months later. Went to Nicholas Chamberlaine, worked down Keresley pit and finally buggered off to live by the seaside in the late 90’s, place was on it’s arse then so god knows what it’s like today.

Very sad video really. How to destroy a town centre, it's industry and it's people :-( At least we have pictures of when the town was a wonderful place and not just 'charity shop land' like it is now.

I couldn't agree more not only that we lost the good old nights with Tadge as entertainer and now as nationally we are stuck with false artists

Good old 'Bedrock'. The Nuneaton borough council has a lot to answer for as do many of the councillors past & present, sold out to Tesco's,developers & destroyed more of Bedworth than the Luftwaffe ever managed. Thank god Harry's still survives, best steak pies in the country, pork pies as good as anything Melton can make.

Bedworth is ruined by Nuneaton council treacle towners never liked Bedworth but nothing comparing to hostile Coventry whose only nightlife style is murdering foreigners

I thought "progress" was meant to be an improvement of what went before? That did not apply here, unfortunately. It was so much more pleasant and aesthetically pleasing before all of these modern monstrosities. I can't believe we actually had a tram line on the Coventry road!

When you read a town centre was largely regenerated in the 1960s/70s you know it's not going to end well. Some towns got off lightly , some have at least made the effort to cull their 60's and 70s dreck' .then there's Bedworth !. possibly the most uninspiring town centre in Warwickshire.

I can't believe we had a tram way in good ole beduff. It must of went all the way into cov via folshill I'm guessing. They were ahead of their time all the electric trams etc, then they ripped it all out after the war and created drab concrete boring landscapes. I've lived in beduff since i was born in the early 80s and both sides of my family have links to the town going back generations, but now sadly it's time for me to leave this one horse town and move to pastures new. The town really ain't what it use to be anymore. The community spirit has gone, the days of everyone knowing each other and stopping for a chat and hearing "alright me babby or alright me duck" have long gone. The influx of foreigners now is taking away the towns identity and sadly its becoming an overspill for Coventry and Birmingham. I'll pop back once in a while to see me mam and family at marston lane cemetery. Such a shame a great English town has succumb to the modern era. You can't be English anymore it's Taboo! You say your English your instantly racist, you have to be British and theirs no such country as Britain!
