Bandstand was an Australian musical/variety television show which screened from November 1958 to 1972. It was produced at the studios of TCN-9 in Sydney and eventually became a national program as Nine Network expanded into other Australian cities in the early 1960s.

The blending of their voice at their very young age. They obviously steal the show but there's something about Robin which outshines his brothers on this performance. His confidence, charm & charisma. I can't take my eyes off of him.♥️ The way he looks at the camera.♥️💞 It's Priceless.💖 They deserve to be given the break they were given. They made the most out of it. Well deserved.♥️💖♥️💖♥️💞💞

This is the day l fell for these guys. I was 11 yrs old, living an isolated life in the Australian bush, and l remember thinking "how do kids get to do things like that". I have followed them ever since - thinking of them like brothers. Really rejoicing at all their successes, and feeling so much pain when l am reminded of the persecution they experienced from the '80s.

I have often wished that too. It is interesting to try and decipher which of them is singing the high harmony and which is in the middle at this age. My conclusion is that the majority of the higher part is Robin although as adults it was usually Maurice who sung that part.

@@isabellabourchier3498 Hi Isabella. Yes, I believe you are right. I came across one song in which they were briefly heard solo and it was Maurice who was in the middle at fourteen years of age or so, and Robin who was still singing higher. They certainly had unique voices. I enjoy listening to Barry in his teens. It is unusual to hear a singer's accent in their singing but Barry sounded oh so British.
@isabellabourchier3498
@isabellabourchier3498 2 жыл бұрын
@@garycarter9859 they never lost their British accents all time they were in Australia. Years later after living in Miami, I could decipher an American twang sometimes in Barry at least. Maurice generally left behind the Lancashire but the odd word still came out pure Mancunian. Robin, never changed in the slightest. What song was that Gary? I think Maurice Voice changed before Robin’s as there are songs from 1964 where Robin is still clearly singing treble . At least, I think it is Robin.

Maurice sang that 3rd part, which isn't easy to do and why he's serious. He had the biggest vocal range. Barry was their biggest gift with also a huge range, but he wrote so many songs, according to their mom. Robin gets maybe too much credit, but hilarity was abundant.

Felt Lettering! Wasn't my type of lifestyle or music at all. But l must admit their slow Disco songs go right through me. See my wife Carol of 31 years died in '02. She wasn't a Disco person either. But, wanted to see Travolta. l still can't listen to More Than A Woman. How Deep Is Your Love. Get choked up. Yeah l dug the Group Pre Disco. Couldn't get use to their turnaround in music. I can feel them every time I listen to them. I was also a fan of Andy. I was heartbroken when I learned of his death. He may have been an addict but that’s part of the disease of addiction. He was loving, caring younger brother to his older brothers. They were a very loving family and were devastated when He passed away. Of course back then you never got the truth about the way he died. That alone would devastate the parents and siblings. How the parents suffered losing Andy. I am the mother of 2 sons, no daughters. @@PapagenoMF That's your opinion! ABBA was also great but very different. There is no better or worse. A little bit stupid to say.

Love these guys so much. The HBO doc made me love them all over again and gutted for the loss of Andy and the twins. With Robin being such a young showman, one might imagine future conflicts could arise between two strong personalities and voices, Mo being the super talented man in the middle. It's trite to say they were incomparable, but they were just that. I think they'd be selling out stadiums today.

They were selling out stadiums up until the time Maurice died.
