Young but not afraid I was hanging on the life you gave me I fell, lost in your heart I’m in there still And I believe in time That you and I would rule the world I pray for you while you were praying for another In the heat of the night You’d be there lying in the heart of a love so right Love could be a million dreams or lies If we don’t love anymore I live and wonder what I never knew I get too lonely to be loving you A heart without a home A fire in the night still burning So when a child in the night Too scared to see And I believe in you This kind of love will never die I die for you while you were dying for another In the heat of the night You’d be there lying in the heart of a love so right Love could be a million dream or lies If we don’t love anymore I live and wonder what I never knew I get too lonely to be loving you Why but somehow you were Make my lonely nights like heaven on Earth This love would find a way When love’s gone, take a light away In the heat of the night You’d be there lying in the heart of a love so right Love could be a million dream or lies If we don’t love anymore I live and wonder what I never knew I get too lonely to be loving you In the heat of the night You’d be there lying in the heart of a love so right Love could be a million dream or lies If we don’t love anymore I live and wonder what I never knew I get too lonely to be loving you

Some may not agree and that is purely OK, but 1981's "Living Eyes" is my ALL TIME favorite Bees Gees album project; hands down. Out of a very dis-jointed, fractured recording session, bad brotherly communication, side-taking, personal problems, failed marriages, laid-off long time loyal band members, undue stress put upon them by their record company, the turning away from diehard fans, severe backlash from the critics and destructive drug addiction...out came the the most beautiful set of recordings these three beloved "Isle Of Man" brothers, ever birthed. Thank you Dan, for blessing my heart with this lost track. Nothing more to be said here. BCRadio

Hmmm. I'm a big Bee Gees fan and don't remember hearing any of the 'dirt' behind 'Living Eyes'. Although, back then it was difficult to get ANY info on them. This was pre-Internet and post-disco after all!
@BolsaChicaRadio4 жыл бұрын
@@dhpbear2 Thanks Dave for your reply. Probably not so much 'dirt' that I eluded to, forgive me if that is how my observations came across, but it was just so much of life's incredible pressures, that the most popular trio of all time, in modern pop music of that era, was probably having to endure...and succeed...during that period of their career. BCRadio

it's not my favorite but I do believe it's an underrated album (yes because of the disco backlash) I also really love the Mr. Natural album
@BolsaChicaRadio3 жыл бұрын
@@slpindigo Indeed "slpindigo' I agree with your thoughts regarding 1974's "MR. NATURAL", that too, a very, very beautifully produced album, that was panned so bad, some didn't even know that it came out! The producer-extraordinaire, Arif Mardin, went on to produce their follow up, 1975's "MAIN COURSE" which put the brothers immediately back into the spotlight, with their #1 hit single "JIVE TALKIN' ", and the two follow up singles "NIGHTS ON BROADWAY" & "FANNY, BE TENDER WITH MY LOVE". THE BROTHERS GIBB; an excellent contribution to both American, British...and Australian music. BCRadio

to be honest, "Living Eyes" deserved to be recognized as the most listened to album in the world, since it was a new one that would begin and end with the 70's stage especially that they discovered a new sound on the Album.

@@ceciliarodriguezroge7692so true and as I just last night, finally watched a few interviews from the past of Barry after Robin passed. Let me say that I cried and feel quite a bit less respect for Barry. Especially with some of the things that he both did say and did NOT say in regards to both of the twins but especially Maurice. Maurice idolized Barry. You could tell that he truly loved all of his brothers. After Maurice died, Robin spoke greatly about his twin brother. He showed many times how much he missed him and treasured him. Mo's death fairly wrecked Robin. Barry didn't even go in for Mo's funeral. He paissed back and forth on the sidewalk and then sat in Michael Jackson's car with him. Then he wouldn't work with anyone, not Robin,nor Mo's family on a tribute for him. They were all trying to put one together for Mo and because Barry got mad about it , they cancelled it all together. Then last night I heard him make a couple of sly derogatory remarks about Mo and Mo's wife. During a show that Barry put on about his brothers he said great things about Andy, and some great but also not so great things about Robin and about Mo was that he was Mr. Gadgets pretty much about all he said about sweet Mo. I could go on but I won't because I just get triggered about Barry anymore. I used to adore all 4 of them. But Barry is falling fast in my eyes.
@kathleendewey53479 ай бұрын
@@angelesgomez1688I agree with both you and Cecilia. At least Barry wrote 2 new songs in regards to Robin and he wrote one along with Robin and Maurice for Andy. They actually wrote the whole album ,"One" dedicated to Andy. That was very sweet. Barry has done 2 albums since Robin passed and Maurice got not one single song dedicated to him as far as I know about.

With all due respect, I honestly felt if they postponed the release of this album for 2-3 more years, and instead went for a distinctive Christmas album (since that will also take them away from the Disco backlash). With their songwriting fresh from their (6) consecutive No.1s, traces of How Deep... & Too Much Heaven melody, harmony, and instrument backtrack sound would have trickled down to at least 1-3 original Christmas songs from them which will immortally resonate in the season's air each & every year from thereon just like with the Carpenters, Elvis or M. Carey original yuletide songs. THAT would've been incredible and I'm almost 100% sure the whole 🌎 will embrace.

I like it, but I can see why it was cut from the album. The other songs were stronger. I love this album, just not sure this song would have fit in. So despite the chaos and craziness happening in 1981 and the Bee Gees, they knew enough to let this song be....
