@@richardmckinnon8791 Yea, their mom, Barbara Gibb, passed August 12, 2016. Their father, Hugh Gibb, passed 1992, four years after Andy passed. The brothers said it was probably from a broken heart. Maurice died (2003) due to hospital negligence. He entered for surgery on his intestines. Some reports say he had a heart attack before surgery, some say after. He died 2 days after admission. Robin died (2012) of cancer. Some reports say kidney; others say colon. It was determined that the twins had the same intestinal condition since birth. Andy passed in 1988, at the age of 30: drugs. Barry stated he was involved in the 'LA lifestyle.' Their sister, Lesley is the oldest. Let's call her the 'queen bee.' She is 76 and lives a quiet life. Sir Barry will be 75 on September 1st, which is also his 51st wedding anniversary. (Good date! Now he can't forget their anniversary. 😁)

yea I like your reaction, so groovy just sway side to side, thank's dude. I know you must have heard about them. But out of my love to this group, allow me. They are the Brothers Gibb (BG's or later Bee Gees): in the middle with his falsetto is the big brother Barry Gibb. On his sides are his twin brothers 3 years younger than him: Robin Gibb (with his hands on his hip, also lead singer but with etherial vibrato sound, just beautiful, they switch lead in some other songs) and Maurice 'Mo' Gibb, the harmonizer and technical expert. They are singer-songwriter group after the Beatles era, the same era with MJ (in fact they were friends with him), have 5 decades of career-span from 1967. In the 1994-1997 they got all the hall of fame (songwriter, rock n roll), lifetime achv award from AMA, Brit, World, well you name it. They never stop producing hits after hits, for themselves or for other artist. Sadly the twin had passed away, Mo 2003, Robin 2012, so the big brother Barry carried on with his son/nephew/niece to perform (the last gig that i know is 2014, but maybe I was wrong). Also his studio now help produces record for younger generation of singer i think. He is still a strong guy in his 70s now, but perhaps just no longer performs. The Bee Gees is a legend, they firstly into ballads music in Britain influenced by the Beatles (1970s), then move to US and they love the black soul music and is highly influenced by this. If you heared Staying Alive, it is one project for them. But they mainly are in progressive R&B, soul music. Barry remain lives in Miami. Their timeless music will lives on thru generations, I know.

Their music is timeless. By the time Saturday Night Fever was released, they had already been in the music business for almost 20 years. Their songs from the 60's were amazing.

I was becoming a teen in the mid sixties. The early BeeGees were the best to me. Andy was good too, but like has been said here many times, Barry has had a rough road with all his siblings gone, and tragically when they weren’t getting along. I have three brothers and two sisters. It’ll be hard to be without any one of them.

Even if metal and classic rock are my favorite genres, I always appreciate real musical talent. And The BeeGees have always been super talented, both as performers and writers. So I've always really enjoyed them. They were big during the Disco Era, but they had a solid career before and after disco as well.

Not only were Artists more talented, songs better written and performances more solid than today’s “artists”, they were classier as was the general public. Keep up the good work, you are my favorite reactor.
