They said in an interview they really struggled to record it because they would get so emotional and it's why they could never perform this song live. I think of Barry and their song Alone. Can't hear it without tears. Bless his heart.

You stated that Barry probably wouldn't want to meet you? These guys were/are extremely humble people. I read a story several years ago about a woman that went to Barry's home just hoping to see him, and as she was waiting he actually got home. He got out to see her and she almost passed out lol. Barry went to the house, got her something cold to drink and sat there and talked with her until she was ok. Not just awesome singers, but awesome people as well. ;)

Hi Lovely Sassy, Andy was just 30 years old when he passed away in 1988, Maurice was 54 when he passed away in 2003, and Robin was 62 when he passed away in 2012, Barry is still alive and well and is 74 years old, RIP Maurice, Andy, and Robin, your music will live on through Barry, you won't be forgotten!! 😀 😀 🙏

There's also a more recently written song by Barry, just after Robin passed. It too is beautiful. Best version is by J's movies N music titled Barry Gibb Tribute to Brothers (End of the Rainbow). I think you'd really like that too. Both of these songs get better after each listen. Great reactions!

Sassy Ocampo, what a beautiful reaction to this song originally written as a tribute for Andy. I don't think they ever performed it live because it would have upset them so very much to have done so. They actually did a tribute to Andy at some of their later concerts using Andy's song "(Our Love) Don't Throw It All Away" and actual footage of Andy singing on a big screen behind them as they sang it live on stage. You need your box of Kleenex for that performance, too. Yes, Barry's older sister, Leslie, lives in Australia with her family and is the only other family member still alive. Mom and Dad are both gone. I'm so looking forward to catching up with your other Bee Gees reactions and can't wait for upcoming reactions from you. I subscribed to your channel today as well.

It’s such a beautiful song but so sad that Barry is the only one left of the brothers. Such talent and I think Andy sounds so much like Barry. I noticed it recently and wow. So sad Andy died so young and even the Maurice and Robin because they are younger than Barry. I recently saw an interview not sure how many years ago it was done but Barry speaks of the sadness of being the oldest and the only one still living but he’s doing well. He has a loving wife and I’m sure that helps. Great video choice as always. 🙏🏻🙏🏻❤️❤️🙏🏻🙏🏻😢😢

Always thought this song would’ve done well if had been released as a single. Andy looked & was sooooo much like Barry…..as their family & fans always have said, except Andy was 4” (the shortest Gibb) shorter than Barry. Andy’s buried at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Hollywood Hills, CA…..& their father’s grave is near his. Barry’s always said their dad really died from a broken heart, as Andy was “the little light in his life”….& began to drink heavily after losing Andy. He passed away 4 days shy of exactly 4 years when Andy passed. Maurice was cremated & his cremains were divided between his wife, their mother & Barry. But when Robin passed they thought it was appropriate to bury Maurice’s cremains with Robin, so that’s what they did. Robin is buried at Church of St. Mary’s only a stones throw away from his home in Thame, Oxfordshire. There’s varying reports what their mother’s final wishes were when she passed at age 95 in Aug 2016, but Barry & Leslie are the only 2 remaining. I believe she still lives near Sydney, Australia.

Ironically, Barry could have been the first to pass away. He got seriously burned at age 18 months and was near death. Luckily he survived and is now the only Gibb left with sister Lesley.
