This month, BKL was inspired by the book Hell Bent by Leigh Bardugo. It's a great read for spooky season! There are 10 polishes available in the collection. This collection also features some polishes with a new for me formula! Several of them have a squishy jelly finish with shifting shimmers.
Things to know:
- Launch is 10/13 at 7pm et.
- Preorder ends 10/22 at 11:59pm et.
- There is a soft cap on items of 1000 ready to ship polishes. If they have to add extra inventory, they will add a note to the listing that this polish will now need a 3-4 week TAT as they will need to order supplies.

I am trying to budget down my choices but I am having so much trouble. I'm honestly grateful for no mysteries this go around because I would be stuck trying to whittle down my must buy list even more and it's impossible with this lineup. I love the new types of formulas... I liked several from the last collection a lot but was hoping to see more of the diverse formulas that Sarah is so incredible at making and this collection was truly everything I could have hoped for! Lastly, I honestly had a really rough day.. my car got totaled and I'm grateful to be okay. I too turn into a Polish Gollum and like to look at the bottles in my hoard. Thank you for the amazing swatches and comparing them to other BKLs, that is so incredibly useful. I like this collection more than the last, so it will hurt my wallet more. But there are so many gorgeous polishes that feel more, let's say, typical of the brand. These colours and finishes are so appealing.

'Misfortune' & 'Tenfold' are perfect! I don't think I'll ever get bored of purple polishes with blue shimmer, and honestly, I wouldn't mind owning every single purple & blue polish that's out there. 😂 I like 'Crying Out' too, but it's a beautiful collection overall. I agree about their brushes, they're really amazing.

I love this collection and the book it's inspired/named from. I love it when a collection has cool and warm colors. I really see the dark academia influence in there and you're absolutely right, it can read grungy too.

More Bees! I'm so happy about this. It must mean that Sara is feeling better.💖 These are all so gorgeous. Really drawn to Reckless and Let's give them Hell and Give it back Tenfold. I also love the purple base with the blue shimmer. So beautiful. A terrible price is such a pretty green. I'm with you. Cannot pick a favorite. I just have to say that I think Sara is a genius. I have my polish in clear containers so I can see them all the time. It makes me so happy to look at them all.

LOL "peeing in an alley but in a cool punk rock way." So funny! Will definitely pick up Give It Up Tenfold, but I may have to get the pee polish as well - I Have Been Crying Out..." I love blue shimmers, and both of these polishes showcase that in their own unique ways. Also, "Immutable" is going to be hard to pass up. It makes me think of cranberry sauce which is very autumnal. I resisted the last release but there are several I really want from this collection. I really like the new formula with the shifty metallic flakies and Immutable with those microflakies. ❤ I also like the “peeing in an alley but in a punk rock way” polish. 😂 I adore contrasting shimmers and it reminds me of Gemma from Zoya with the shimmer turned up to 11! ❤

Not only is this series one of my absolute favourites, the Ninth House collection (first book in the same series) was my first ever BKL collection so it feels extra special and full circle. That said (before watching the swatching), the colors could be worn all year by not putting on 3 coats. But even some you can put 3 coats on and it would still be okay for any time of year. I probably should have watched FIRST. My bad. I love them all
