That day was meant to be all about the mental health initiative launch, especially as Catherine's brother had been enduring a serious depression, and the speeches etc were planned out for the time. ...... Whilst the presenter did ask Meghan what she hoped to work on, Meghan's answer shouldn't have taken up 1/3rd of the whole event time: which is what created the tensions on stage. William was really annoyed, allegedly. But, H couldn't possibly 'fess up to M being in the wrong on that day (plus, hadn't the ghost writer been sacked, and it was M writing "Whaaah" by this stage? Anyways....) .... So it couldn't be written in Whaaah that M was anything but a living walking talking beatification: so the lip gloss story was invented. Strangely enough, it came out "what does Catherine carry in her handbag" in one of the UK press fluff pieces..... She doesn't carry lip gloss.... She does carry a lip balm (a staple in her handbag for 20 years).... ..... But women know the difference between a pot of flavoured vaseline humectant, and MACs lip glass sparkle gloss..... ....... One thing I do have compassion about in an odd way; both Harry and Meghan (in different ways) lived completely consequence-free lives before their wedding. There's times they obviously know they're acting out, but other times they really do appear surprised that bad behavior led to bad outcomes.
