1 bigger point is missing out in the discussion.. "India being the country holding the largest population of cattle in the world tops the chart of largest producer of METHANE gas (released by the cattle). A cow does on overage release between 70 and 120 kg of Methane per year. Methane is a greenhouse gas like carbon dioxide (CO2). But the negative effect on the climate of Methane is 23 times higher than the effect of CO2. The average cow produces enough methane per year to do the same greenhouse damage as four tons of carbon dioxide. What about this global scenario?? What abouT the bigggestttt problem in nature and mankind? "THE GLOBAL WARMING, THE CLIMATE CHANGE" ... why to be one of the bigest contributor to the biggest challenge of the world...? why to promote the increasing population of cows... How'bou dat???

I highly appreciate to your well talk.Manipur is a state with many beef consumers unlike some other states where mostly influenced by Gau Rakshaks and kill whoever they doubted.According to me,Muslims, tribals and 40-60℅ of Meiteis in our state are fondly taking beef as their food habits.In such state,banning of cow slaughter is a very unfortunate moment of the centre government. Before taking up any initiative action according to the centre's announcement in the state,our state government needs to consider wisely without seeing political motivation,for a better and a peaceful state.BJP has forgotten their reading of how sportspersons need beef for their stability and also Manipur is a brand of producing sportspersons in the country. Beef is well known considered as an international meat for its benefit to the eaters.According to me,the ongoing debate is not only about targeting to Muslims and Christians but also subdues the freedom of choosing foods,its for all indian including Manipuri.We need a strong agitation against this rule before on floor.

All over the world, there are restriction on what people can eat. Chinese cannot outside China eat dog or cat meat. Japanese cannot eat whale or Dolphin meat outside Japan. Pork cannot be eaten in Israel or in the Muslim countries. Let us ban all meat from all non-violent animals and birds all over India. This is the wishes of the majority of the people. This is a moral issue, not any economic issues. Tribal, Dalits, Christian, Muslims can eat the meats of any violent animals like lions, tiger, hyenas, wolves, dogs, jaguar, snakes, as they do in China and in the North East of India.

Aryans in the north adopted animal sacrifice but Jainism n Buddhism restricted cruelty towards animal. lastly Dravidian in the south are fond of meat. why don't you try to declare India as vegetarian nation. why restrict cattle and allowing non Hindus to eat meat other than beef. you say moral issue, do you think Hindu moral is the Indian moral what about the moral of Indian Muslims, Indian Dravidian, Indian Mongoloid . Indian doesn't mean only Aryans but comprised of Dravidian and mongoloids too besides Muslims. we should broaden our outlooks. think about Indian diversity. if vegetable is better food than meat, whoever care their health let them eat vegetables why encroach to others. let this venture shouldn't be in the line of Muhammad bin tughlaq policy.

Ei meiteini. Oja Tiken gumba ama meitei phurupta yaori haibada ekaijei. If this ban is imposed in Manipur it can break Manipur into communal lines. We should unite and fight against such ideological impositon. This kind of ideology is the reason our brethren in the hills look at us with such suspicion. Seems like Tiken has not learnt anything from history of Manipur. Only by standing together side by side in such times can we bridge the gap between meitei and tribals. As meities we should not support such ban, if we do, history will repeat itself and we will make the same mistake our forefathers made (Of glorifying hinduism and pushing away our own brothers). As far as cow's usefulness is concern, if slaughter is banned there will be no cows left in the north east as we do not have much use for it otherwise in this modern age. This is a good opportunity for us meities to show that we stand with tribals and hopefully this will lessen some of the mistrust. I for one stand with my tribal and muslim brothers on this one and I strongly condemn the ban.
