Ansonsten..Wake up Dead, Hook in Mouth....Saugeil. Außerdem trägt Megadeth echten Zorn, echte Aggressionen und Attitude in sich. Ich mag das. Ich mags auch mehr als Metallica .

I once met Dave by chance. I was working at this pizza place at that time in NYC. it must’ve been ‚92 or ‚93, I was in high school, taking orders and doing delivery, long hours. Anyways, as is the case with long shifts, I must’ve gotten kind of sloppy taking and transmitting orders. This happend every once in a while and yeah it’s unpleasant but not the end of the world, most of the time, except if you got unlucky with your customer. I’m pretty sure I was a crappy employee at that time though, I was just lucky that my friend’s well-meaning uncle owned the business, he kind of cared about me I think. So we got a lot of orders, people flying in and out. Suddenly, Dave comes in with his entourage, into our little crappy pizza place. I think it must’ve just been his bandmates, actually. It seemed surreal, to say the least. I was astonished he’d come to our pizza place, that i thought was nothing special. I don’t know to this day why he chose us. Maybe we were just close by. Someone had preordered their pizzas, I didn’t know what to say, it all was too fast, so I just tried to be normal (I was probably sweating profusely and was awkward), and gave them their pizzas. We didn’t really interact much. They actually sat down at our place to eat, almost everyone else took it for delivery. Anyways, I really wanted to talk to them and get an autograph, but I was also so busy with work, it was a rush, so I waited for the moment, building my courage up. Then, Nick Menza stood up with his Pizza and went to the counter - my chance! He looked mad though, and my heart sank. And in a stern voice he started to talk to me. I’m not sure what he said exactly, I’m not sure I could register it in that moment, but my heart pumped in my throat. It must’ve been something about Jalapenos and them having no time, or maybe he even got the wrong pizza, he was pretty mad. I was so afraid he’d start to act like a rockstar and thrash this place. And for sure then our pizza place will be trashed by everyone and my friend will hate me. I know this probably was an irrational fear but so I felt at that point. Anyhow, I don’t think I got a word into his rant, except a few „Sorrys“, and I wanted to retake his order, but he also didn’t want that - that’s when Dave stepped in. He just laid his hand on Nick’s shoulder - he seemed kind of annoyed my Nick - and gave me a smile. It was all good after that. Nick relaxed and Dave even apologized to me, this could happen to anyone etc. He was such a friendly and humble guy, kind of the opposite of what i had expected of him, dumb me. At this point I realized he somehow liked me. We could make it good and they got their correct order, as well as the promise they could eat here anytime from now on for free. Dave stayed with me at the bar, I think he wanted to flee his bandmates. He wanted me to drink with him, so I did. He asked for my phone number, so I gave it to him. I think they actually returned a few times after I stopped working there. My story with Dave didn’t end there. For eleven months after that night, I had the best time of my life. I flew with them across the States, to Europe, Japan, South America. He discarded the groupies, he prefered me. Our souls intertwined for a short, but intense while, and we made sweet love on six of the seven continents.
