Mrs. Brenda, I LOVE YOU SO VERY MUCH! You will never know what your words have meant to me. I'm almost 60yrs old and firmly believe we should never stop learning. YOU have taught me so much about non-cooking matters. We lost our 31yr old son to stage 4 Pancreatic Cancer and my faith has been/is being severely tested. I recently felt like you were speaking directly to me and my heart was full! Thank you precious lady. BTW, I'm an Opp/Andy/GanttLake/Straughn girl living in Dothan. ❤️

I had 7 siblings 6 brothers and 1 sister , she is about 3 yrs older that I am. She was too bossy while we were growing up. But we got closer later and We've now lost 4 of those brothers. We have the two youngest left. my sister has just very recently gone into a nursing home/ memory care ficility where her Husband of 57 is an inpatient. They both being there means everything to them. The ficility is Praise God! A top notch place. I am comfortable know She is not living alone any longer. I could dive into great detail of my living sister struggles with health problems but I will only say she is blessed to be the sirviver of multiple miracles. To God be the Glory. I love my sister so very much. I also have loved all my brothers. So even it you've not always close neve give up there is always hope with prayer. In Jesus' Name amen

My mom never had any of the beef we butchered made into stew meat. She always cut her own. Also, I never saw her buy any chicken, beef, or pork broth. She always made her own. My mom was an old fashioned German lady who did almost everything by scratch (as she would call it). I'm very proud of the fact that she taught me her ways of doing things. I know that by learning all of those things, I've saved a lot of money because I didn't buy many things that women buy today. I don't cook anything out of boxes. I laugh and tell my friends that if I did that, my mom would come down from Heaven and kick my butt.

I have a single daughter and I always felt a little sad I didn’t have another child for her to grow up with and she told me when she got older that she didn’t have a problem with not having to share me somebody else ❤❤❤ we’re still close and my granddaughters are like mine too.

Brenda, my mother (of 6!) Made what she called Irish stew. It had the broth of the beef when simmering it and just added carrots and potatoes. That was it. Just salt and pepper, no coating on the beef at all. I bet you have heard of it. Let me know if that's all there is to it, if you know. ❤

Yeah, there were six of us in the family not count. My mother and father had three brothers and two sisters and my parents. They have a lot of suits that soup bee soup rice soup, corn soup chicken noodle soup soup all kinds of soup we ate when we were kids growing up until this day, I still make those soups.

I would love to have a roast like that. That would cost a fortune in Atlanta. And Brenda we are dying from severe heat and humidity to. The dogs don't want to stay outside either so we are in and out when they have to do their business. I'll be more than happy to send my jealous, manipulative, thief, lying, hateful, c... of a sister to you anytime you ask for her. She has kept our family in turmoil for 50 years. She took over everything for my elderly mom and we didn't have a clue what was going on until the dear Lord blessed us and she moved to Wisconsin with her entire family. I kissed the ground. My mom needed so much medical work and procedures and all new doctors. I got to work and she looked like a new person. I always made sure her hair was washed and set at her salon because she was a very beautiful woman at 93 yo. It was unreal. When you look good you feel good. I got her nails painted to. She had beautiful hard nails. Beautifully shaped. Honestly I wouldn't give her to you. You are way to sweet. Love your show.
