To be fair, it's the same thing as Metaknight basically destroying every other character and being considered to be banned from tournaments in brawl. The best characters would just be Zelda, Peach, ect, when final smashes are on.

Definitely. They'd need to do a lot of rebalancing to FS's if they wanted them to be tournament legal. I know Rosa's would need majorly buffing for a start cause that's just widely considered the worst final smash. A bunch others too. Mario's, Star fox characters and Falcon's would need more range, Game and Watches would need more consistency. Final Smashes were evidently not a top priority topic for this game balance wise but if they wanted smash meter to be legal, they'd definitely need to change some final Smashes significantly.

I keep it if I get a psychic type early on, at least until I get fly since it lets me get to a Pokemon Centre really easy. Also they changed it so it works like Baton Pass and Parting Shot (namely it lets u switch with a move vs hard switching so u can avoid a hit on whatever comes in and escape trapping effects)

MrAuthor3DS Yes. You can't counter them or shield them, generally. What makes hers OP is that you can't dodge it either, whereas you can dodge most of them. And some others you can't, but have limited range or do little damage. On the other hand, Zelda's probably has the biggest range, other than Ness, Lucas, and Diddy's (all of which are dodgeable), and hers does anywhere between 40% damage and 70% damage, (I'm talking Smash ball here, not Smash meter. Smash meter final Smahes are pretty weak) depending on how early you fall in. Meanwhile, if by the end of it you are at 90% or above, you are pretty much guaranteed to die, which means that if she uses the Final Smash and you fall in it and you are above 50%, you are pretty much dead unless you have godlike DI or Zelda used it far away from you or are Bowser. And that's all assuming best case scenarios, which don't usually happen. So really, if she is right next to you and you are above 30%, you are dead period. And if you near the ledge or offstage, then above 15%, you are dead, because you won't be escaping it then, and you will be too close to the blast zone. It makes otherwise difficult challenges easy to beat if Final Smashes are allowed to beat the challenge.

I bet you could escape with ivysaur by using down b then side b then down b again and then side b again. Basically just switching to Zard and flare blitzing to reset the switch timer and then switching to squirtle and using withdraw. Haven’t tested this out yet but I’m just theory crafting.

Liam da Lemon! Canonically, Samus escaping a haul breach as the vacuum of space sucks in dozens of helpless enemies around her implies she could easily ground herself if she was allowed to use it. She isn't, just like every other character with lots of tricks but limited ways to bring them into Smash. If Robin, Ike, Roy, and every other fire Emblem character with a 1-2 ranged sword could hold down the attack button to use their sword's ranged attack, they'd be broken. They don't get to use their swords' canonical ranged abilities.

Zied Yee I mean Canonical as in in-game. Robin in smash bros is using a Levin Sword, one that can attack enemies at long range with appearing sparks of lightning. This comes to the same effect as a spell or bow and arrow in his game of Fire Emblem. Robin cannot use the Levin sword the way he dose in his game and instead just uses the thunder spells, though I guess their ranged effects remain very similar.

He can't outrun it, though. Ridley could not outrun it with his Side Special, which is faster than Sonic's dashing speed, so evidently Sonic cannot either. Also, shockwaves. The shockwaves basically invalidate everything here.

Just a thought, but I think duck hunt can actually make it. Duck hunts can can hit himself, like snake's grenades, however, it's a separate hurtbox from duck hunt, and it comes out really quick, so what if the windbox could pull duck hunt towards his can, and make it blow up, if he's at a high enough percent, it could probably make him take enough knockback to escape. However, I'm not sure if his can is affected by windboxes Or if the windbox pulls him at a good enough angle Pls don't yell at me, also I refer to duck hunt as a dude for simplicity.

Pretty sure the can is unaffected by the shockwaves, meaning it wont bounce back and hit Duck Hunt. Making it explode manually would probably take too much time and mashing the button will also send it upward meaning it will probably fly over him.

I realized things: 1) Greninja using Shadow Sneak to escape - smart but failed. 2) Corrin pinning herself to the stage - smart but failed. 3) Bayonetta's Witch Time to avoid a Final Smash that's nearly escapeable shows that she is still a powerful Smash member regardless if she was nerfed. *cough cough*: She didn't survie World of Light unfotunately; *cough cough* Kirby did.

Basically. But it's an even better strategy to lure your opponent to the ledge, make zelda go offstage and then activate it close to the edge of the screen. If the 100% doesn't kill them, the knockback will send them directly to the blast zone.
