I first heard this song sometime in 2020, the same year I discovered the Bee Gees. But, somehow, it took me until sometime, I think, the following year, the same year I became obsessed with the Bee Gees (and Andy Gibb) and they became my #1 favorite music artist, to realize just how perfectly gorgeous it, actually, is. Ever since then, it’s been one of my top favorite Bee Gees songs and, every time I listen to it, I’m mesmerized by its perfect gorgeousness that leaves me in awe. There are lots of songs where I really don’t enjoy Barry’s falsetto and think it’s too much or unnecessary, but I think it’s absolutely perfect for this song. And, Robin and Mo’s gorgeous high harmonies just add to that. The Bee Gees all look so gorgeous in this very simple, yet, very nice music video. The Bee Gees and Andy Gibb are still my #1 favorite music artists and I’m only 24 years old.

I’ve just been with my mum in a hospice in her final days. I played the Bee Gee’s, The Beatles, ABBA, Roy Orbison & Simon & Garfunkel non stop to hopefully remind her of her younger days. This song has stuck with me now.

Essa introdução gerou um impacto tão forte na minha alma, que isso aconteceu quando eu tinha uns 7 anos e até hoje o revivo um pouquinho quando o ouço. Lembro até onde eu estava... o sol quase se pondo, uma tarde quase fria...e um vizinho que morava numa outra quadra, colocou num som potente essa musica. Quando começou a introdução eu procurei a casa do vizinho (que ficava na direção de onde o sol se punha) como se estivesse sentindo a musica tocando fisicamente no meu corpo, no coração e na alma. I couldn't agree with you any more on this absolute beauty of a song , this song will always remind me of my dad,from a child hearing him sing it in his scrap van , he was a double of barry Gibb and also his name was barry too he had the beard , the hair but unfortunately not the voice haha , 16vyrs since he passed away . I was 18 when this song came out. What a masterpiece. And oh, the Bee Gees, unparalleled in lyric writing, composition, and singing. As the world lost Maurice and Robin (and Andy), I can't help but look at those proficient musicians in the orchestra, either young in age or middle aged at the time. It's been 43 years. I'm sure many of them have also finished their time on this earth. Their contribution to this beautiful recording is also appreciated.
