Nonsense! With Beehive, you do not own your subscriber list because it is not an "open subscription platform". Hence, you do not own your subscriber data, you don’t have access to or control over your customer payment data, and you cannot export your email list to another platform without losing their payment data and subscription accounts. Whoever controls the payment and subscription data, controls the business. If you can’t leave a subscription platform without leaving your customer data and subscription behind, it’s not your business. Ghost and Substack are "open subscription platforms", which means you own your business.

Do you own it in Substack? Subscriptors/payment data? its not even a feature right?

​@@MarcosValera I think you can export email addresses in Substack and in beehiiv, too. So it is still your reader base for the newsletter, but monetization works through the companies. I don't think the Substack shares any payment deatils... But I don't know for sure.
