I wish I was there sitting listening like in the old days. Watching this brought tears to my eyes. So many GREAT memories of Ashokan and all of you, who were such huge part of my life. I remember seeing these guys at the town crier on Golden snowy nights with the wood stove going in the middle of the room and John selling brownies and cocoa and coffee they were so young and beautiful and they're wonderful memories.

If you've never seen Ken Burns' documentary, "The Civil War", I recommend you listen to this beautiful lament while it is played during a recitation of Sullivan Ballou's prescient letter to his wife which he wrote a week before he died at the first battle of Bull Run.
