I just want to say thank you so much for the time and effort that you put into your videos. I appreciate your knowledge on beekeeping and how you present it. I've watched lots of your videos in preparation for getting my own bees. I'm super excited about becoming a bee keeper :) I especially appreciate this video for the coffee talk time. You were so genuine in expressing that what you do on any certain day is "good enough" for that day. You brought up examples that hit home for me and I realized that I have been beating myself up for not "being good enough, or doing enough". I cried at the realization that I could let go of stress that isn't serving me and that I could enjoy my life more. Thank you for the gift :)

You are hitting the nail on the head when you are talking about creativity. My whole life I have been one of those individuals who went from project to project. My wife has always accused me of never finishing things. Looking back on my 73 years I realize that that is not true statement about the real me. I got out of the Air Force at 22 years old and immediately started beekeeping I just happen to be going by a neighbors house and there was this old man 85 years old I think and he was pushing an old wheel barrel and it was loaded with bees . I asked him if he would sell me a hive and he said he didn’t want to sell me one but he told me of a fellow who would. I went and bought two hives from this fellow and never looked back on and off I have been keeping bees since then. I lost interest in them a few years ago due to certain things happening in my own life but have recently decided to take it up again. Depression indeed what is the cause of it. And the bees I just got a package and they are doing fine here in Maine. My base came from Kentucky and I had to install them on the coldest rainiest spring day ever. I almost mumbled the ball when I dropped the queen cage to the bottom. I didn’t have any gloves just neoprene slip overs Novell but the bees were just fine and I carefully grabbed a queen and put it back where she belonged and then I pulled the wrong plug out on the first day so she was immediately released. I just checked my beers yesterday and they have drawn for frames of cone out in two weeks and she is laying in there is brewed. I am going to go back and listen to the rest of your presentation. I am so glad that I found your channel. And have subscribed. Keep up the good work sir.

Thanks for spending the time to post. In addition to 5 frames of when to add medium box, which can be subjective on how much of brood on of each frame, on two of your frames there is also crowning, the bees connecting the top of the frames with comb. That is another indication to add a box, which you indicate at minute 19

Hello David ! Like the newer Video style... With on screen Arrows pointing to things, and, content being Vocalised as we see it. Great for the NewBee 🤭 (Newbie.) .... You forgot to arrow label the 'Drone' cell, and say they are "Boy Bees"... Are there in the hive for a fairly 'short time.' To that of Workers, and the longest lived, The Queen ! 👑 Idea Suggestion: Could we have a Cuppa "Tea" Time please ! Blighty style.🇬🇧 Here in Scotland, UK, we drink lots of Tea !!! 🤗 (Might of been different if it was the 'Boston Coffee Party' way back ?!? Not.... Hehe. 🤭) We are having a really cold Spring, all over the UK, even this late in May 2021 (!) However Scottish bees are as hard as nails. (Saying, for being strong **... ) We are hardly getting any regular days of say 16C / 60F temperatures. Brrr.... Crazy. So we drinking a lot of Tea, as habit, and probably to get warm after doing wind swept Bee Hive inspections ! 🤭 I'm afraid I'm not a coffee drinker, but do love Coffee and Walnut cake... 🍰 Go figure... ? 🤣 But I do enjoy your slot called "Coffee Time" while I have a Cuppa of 'Earl Grey' Tea. ✓ Please could we get some nice calm Bee Audio...Eg Smoker bellow use, Hive tool use, or Bees pollinating a Flower etc, etc ...Instead of the 'way to loud' theme 'music'. It was blaring out / within my Mobile Phone ear buds. (Ouch !!!) "Tea Time" needs a Teapot*, a Tea Strainer, and Biccies ! (Slang for Biscuit.) Aka what you call Cookies ! 🍪 * OK, we do use Teabags, and a Spoon, we don't really use those Tea Bags in dinky paper wraps, and on a string, popular in the US .... I think we drink so much tea, those string bags would tie us up on knots ! 🤣 Tip : Teapot more as a Prop for your Film Set !!! ..... Teabag doesn't give it much oomph in footage 😆 Unless Grandma👵, or the Queen 👑 drops by.... Who prefer Teapots and Cake 🍰.... 🤗 Hope your Bees are doing great in the 3lb Package V. x5 Frame Nuc comparison. Do we get a Part 2 update ? * Packages are less popular her in the UK, because they won't Post or Ship them. Same goes for Nucs too, both need collection in person (!) Traveling eg 500miles, or so, is no distance for you guys, Stateside, but that's like us going from Scotland to France, to get Breed bees. We can get Queens delivered via Mail... Phew ! However they will be in high demand this year, as the Spring has been so cold, for so long, Virgin Queens failed to Mate satisfactorily !?! And Brexit means Bees or Queens cannot come from Europe to the UK any more. 😱 Maybe we will need to raise our own 'Queens' and buy Nucs from Beekeepers in near neighbourhoods.** ... 👍 Giving us bees that are Locally bred, and are Hardy in nature. Especially needed here in Scotland. 🥃 (only symbol for 'Scot'- land ?!?) Might need a Whisky if it doesn't warm up soon.... 😆 🐝🐝🐝🐝🐝🐝🐝🐝🐝🐝

So nice to hear a beekeeping perspective from over the pond. Apparently, my lineage is from Scotland "Burns". I appreciate your suggestions. Sorry about the music. That's the hardest thing for me to balance. I will listen on a pair of headphones before mixing it down. I love all of your suggestions....and will act on many of them. Again, I'm sure beekeepers will enjoy hearing how beekeeping is for you in the UK. Oh, I LOVE Earl Grey tea. I even make my own Earl Grey with the Bergamot oil. On my next coffee time, we will do a cuppa tea with Earl Grey just for you.
