I'm 25 now, but my mum used to take me and my siblings here when I was around 7 years old. This was way back when I was only big enough for the yellow wristband, and they had that dome horror maze. It had one of the wax figures in a foe bedroom that later got re-purposed into the Crooked House attraction. I was only small, and I didn't realise I wasn't supposed to enter the side door into the attraction itself. My astonishment when I went right up to the figure and touched its hand, and it sat up screaming!! I ran out of that ride so fast and refused to go back in. I tried to face my fears next time, but it was gone by then. But this ride here, Beelze Bob's trail. It will always hold a special place in my heart. After a certain time of the evening, you could hear Beelze Bob's trail's theme music cast across the entire park. A few times, my mum let us stay extra late; half an hour before the last train from Southend Central to London. Then we would rush back up that hill to the train station, legs tired and carrying our sticks of rock and bags of honeycomb. Even when you could no longer see the park, you could still hear Beelze Bob's trail echoing in the distance. I distinctly remember a couple of times, just before we got on the train, my brother and I would be standing, straining our ears while the train doors were open, listening out for Beelze Bob's trails theme. If we were extra quiet, we could just about make out the general tune before the train doors closed, and it was finally time for a sleepy ride back to London. That ride had such an eerie and catchy tune to me, and it has been lodged in my brain ever since. When I'd get back home, after brushing my teeth and everything, the voice in the back of my head would still be playing that tune in my head as I fell asleep. Ah, memories :')

We all need to protect this video... theres so little on the OG dark ride at adventure island.. it upsets me. The ride, the soundtrack .. so cool!

Oh wow, so many fond memories working this ride. I was the only one who didn't mind sitting in the dark all day. That music becomes very calming after a while lol

Beelzee Bob's trail scared me the first time riding it but I continued riding it I grew to love it! I'm now 26 I fucking miss it so much Over the hill was pretty good but Over the Hill to Spooksville is just a joke! No animatronics just still images.....I know its for a new generation but the original rides give me nostalgia goosebumps 🥲🥲🥲💕

So many childhood memories of this ride, I remember constantly queuing up for this with the theme playing again and again. Sure my mum was sick to death of me at the time haha. I miss this version alot.

The park now has no atmosphere or uniqueness ! This video shows how once great it was

Your an adult, of course a child's adventure park would have no atmosphere anymore. As for the uniqueness, I'm sure you've probably been to other theme parks now, more designed for adults, which your comparing to a child's amusement Park which was probably your first rollercoaster experience.... get where I'm coming from?

Hate the direction adventure island is going in ! All unique immersive experiences gone and replacing with genetic tacy funfair rides wasn’t that many years ago they had a Halloween scare maze that’s gone , the brilliant wax walk through pirate ship gone, fantasy done gone, all replaced with tacy genetic spinning flat fairground rides that can be found at your standard funfair

Any pics or videos of the wax work pirate walkthrough?
@khloebankslife Жыл бұрын
i agree with what you’ve said, you’ve just unlocked a memory for me about the pirate ship! im sure i remember there being a gift shop above it/as the entrance to the walkthrough, but i was very sad to hear the goldmine train is gone and so is the jungle jive cafe, my favourite place as a kid 💔

@@khloebankslife same here! I mean I'm only 20 so it wasn't even that long ago that the good stuff was there! It's only going to get worse in my opinion unless they go back to the roots of the park

Think they should just put it back in ghost train and make it like used to be good instead of shit like is now
@harryjackaman-pegg26993 жыл бұрын
do they still put it out? i'll have to go and visit in season to check it out if so

TBH, beelzebob was a decent ghost train. Also, half of the demons are in the dump, and the other half is in Devils creek.

amazing video. do you have any footage of the fantasy dome? i've been trying to compile a comprehensive archive of it for a while now but i haven't had much luck beside some pictures of the exterior and a select few of the interior (aswell as the scenery that was repurposed and put in beezlebobs)

Hello, have you got any pictures of videos of Blackbeard’s adventure walkthrough with the wax works ?

@@laureljumeau694 wow I feel like I remember that, wasn’t there buttons you pressed to interact with the wax models? I seem to remember a closet door opening and a skeleton coming out
