Amazing! Thanks for posting. My 13yo is playing the sonatina version for flute. First time playing a solo in front of a judge. I'm moved everytime I hear this played. I literally can hear the entire orchestra when this piece is played and there are only 2 instruments. 😳 Guess that's the genius of Mozart

both are g clef but usually doesn't work

Many works by many composers have been transcribed for other instruments. Violin works are often reworked for flute, adapting the music for the different ranges of the two instruments.

I understand that but for me it's not only a question of tessitura; it’s also the sonority, the phrasing, the kind of passages. Also gives a lot of challenges, good for studying of course, but for a genuine performance, the piece doesn’t help, like the Frank Sonata for example. But there are some exceptions, for example, the three romances by Schumann sound better with flute! They sound that were ompossd for flute! and not for oboe. Just personal opinion.
