I had a Marathon Magic 22 and found the lower strap exit for the 'on adjust' and the rubbery pad at the lower lower back caused damage to numerous fleece tops and in short order wore a hole in an expensive waterproof jacket, which fortunately, I managed to get repaired. It was also in holes itself at the base due to the fragile fabric there. That pack has been 'recycled'. My old MM 11, with its old-style back adjustment, and a properly reinforced base hasn't tried to kill any jackets and is still in good nick after 10 years. If you're going for any of the models with the 'on adjust' system I'd advise going for hip belt models, as the lower strap is hidden behind the hip belt and so can't eat holes in anything. The new packs still look vulnerable at the base, though, so careful where you put them down.

It immediately catches the eye that it looks a bit "mickey mouse" with the left-hand pocket's sternum strap connected 100mm lower than the right-hand pocket's sternum strap - good to set it up evenly/properly (prior to Friday evening's after-work beers) and raise the left-hand pocket's sternum strap 100mm higher so they are both level, (and Aarn will be proud of you) and then re-shoot the video - otherwise very cool !
