LOL, great to see these guys again! It was these guys, Don Osborn, and of course Chip Walton, that got me into home brewing. We are watching down here in South Texas. Great Podcast!

Thanks Guys - it was a pleasure having these two on. I was thinking of doing an episode at NHC and just let the two of them talk instead of the typical interview!

+Brad Smith (BeerSmith) That would be awesome, they're quite the duo!

Great episode I just found in the archives...I could listen to those two talk about beer for hours on end. In fact, I HAVE....sure miss the old BTV!

Didn't realize Michael made the move from Wyeast to BSG. Glad to see these two paired up again though as Brewing TV really was a gateway for me into homebrewing. When they gonna recruit Chip?!?!
@HeartPumper7 жыл бұрын
Justin C Quite similar over here :) Chip has his own niche (independent videographer) ;)

I'm a big fan of beer smith and your channel/podcast... Also a big fan of keeler and Dawson; great to see them back together! What i didn't like is that this episode was a non stop advertisement for BSG Group. A bit disappointing...

Hey Brad, I really enjoy your podcast series and interviews. Is there any future possibility for an episode on beer cloning?
@MrBeersmith8 жыл бұрын
+dannyzep92 I'd love to do it but I need to find an appropriate guest - do you have a suggestion of someone who does a lot of cloning?

Wild Mind Brewery in Minnesota brews in Coolships and their own in Natural Yeast. Their beers are great.

I went all grain because I can get a smaller second beer and than feed the rest to the chickens. I'm going to try a extract Pliny though. Cheers
@BasilWallace8 жыл бұрын
The rise in all grain, barrel and sours is more to do with the extract brewers of yesterday having matured their setups and now they're doing AG, and experimenting with different flavours. Home brewers are getting more comfortable..

Not to say you can't get good hoppy beers from 7 different hop brews. 5 is a pretty big number, but certainly agree keeping it simple is the key.

I purchase 1Lb packs and reseal with a foodsaver. It allows the homebrewer to save money. I hope you still make 1LB packs I have seen the prices on the 8oz packs and are just about the same price as a 1Lb pack. not really cool guys.
