This one was really inspiring. She for sure doesn't look like 21 year featuring in Podcast, she is much more matured. Looks like the baton of Women's Cricket in India is passed into right hands. More power to Women's Cricket.

27:28 is so true! We stand on the shoulders of the women who have gone before us sacrificing and hustling the odds, and it's our duty to stand strong for the next gen women. Working in male dominated industries and leaving a mark takes a lot! On few weeks Fear and stress feels inevitable, it's like just learning to deal with things everyday and accept challenges as a daily norm.... Jemimah - Gem 💎
@srinivaschaitanya33052 жыл бұрын
Why people always say "Male Dominated" ? Men's cricket is way more entertaining..and women's cricket is not able to reach the standard..hence less revenue..where is male dominanace here? It's just business..
@dikshitadesai2 жыл бұрын
@@srinivaschaitanya3305 A plurality of global consumers (40%) cite a lack of media coverage as a reason why they don’t engage more in women’s sports, while a lack of knowledge about the teams and players (35%), and limited marketing (30%) are also significant barriers. I agree with you on the business part, but I also believe that not all investments give immediate returns. In my opinion, we need to put in even more money to break the thresholds and change the graphs (I appreciate that it's gradually improving over the years, but there is more work to do). That's just my take on things and you can have a different one.
@srinivaschaitanya33052 жыл бұрын
@@dikshitadesai I agree with fact that there is less media coverage and infact some more money needs to be spent..infact the situation was same with women's bbl ..and Australialian cricket board initially gave some money to media channels for broadcast and slowly the league became quite popular that now we have to pay premium in order to watch women's bbl..the only thing I disagree with you is you cannot blame other gender if your sport is not performing well..Infact so many men cricketers and cricket analysts support and promote women's cricket...if you want to perform well you have to ...there should be no excuses ...
@dikshitadesai2 жыл бұрын
@@srinivaschaitanya3305 oh no! I think there is a misunderstanding here. Empowering any group/individual doesn't mean nullifying others. Nobody is blaming men. I think it's time to drop this conversation dead here to avoid friction and miscommunication. We all know better, and we all as humans rise together.

A thing about Jemi outside the field is I find her always chilling, but I have seen a different Jemi on this podcast today, and like you said handful of times to her, I do see some big things coming her way with the kind of passion she has for the game, and that surely will take her name to bigger heights. I can sense that calmness and maturity in the way she speaks being a 21 year old girl and the sorted mindset that she has, yes the game helps a lot to have a good mental space, but at the same time you also need to have to be in the learning state of mind, Which I personally like to call it as “Being a Sponge” state where you can grab and learn whatever comes your way, I sense that vibe in her talks, thanks for inviting her to be your guest and we need more women professionals on this show in the days to come

Hey, loved the vibes & positivity of this show as always ❤️ There is a huge difference that what we think cricket is and what a player feels when he or she is playing for the country. We are like yrr ye maar kyu nhi rha , bas ek chakka aur and all but we don't know what the player is going through so ya we all need to understand that cricketers have a life too apart from cricket. Grateful to beerbiceps team for creating out such podcasts and giving us that much of knowledge, positivity 🙏 And ya next cricketer if you thinking of having podcasts with then it could be Dhoni or Virat Kohli as Indians have a huge respect for them & they all want to know about their opinions , personal work life balance and all.
