Hello fellow creatives. Here is another experiment in printmaking using Tetra Pak as an etching plate and a pasta maker as a printing press. This time I had some difficulty with the ink bleeding into the paper in my second and third prints. I also tried printing onto a piece of gel print which I really wasn't expecting to transfer at all but actually did. I also experimented with using nail polish to try to create more texture in the plate but not sure how well that worked out. I like the idea of creating depth so I think I'll be trying some collagraph techniques next andwill attempt it on the Tetra Pak since I have accumulated so much of it. Section of Tetra Pak for a printing plate
Bone paper folder for image transfer
Various etching tools. (Skewers and scalpels and old dentistry tools work well)
Speedball carving tool
Battery operated etching/engraving pen
Newsprint or old telephone book
Akua printmaking ink
_ Akua wiping cloth
Mixed media paper for printing
Sheets of craft foam for print feeding
Pasta maker (bought second hand)
