When I first heard this masterpiece , I was crying and having a conversation with Mr Beethoven, saying "How could you have ever doubted yourself Mr Beethoven". It was around 12 pm cold night, I was in bed, sitting up. Next something brushed the side of my head ever so gently. I will never know what it was, but it really happened. You may not understand this but whether performed beautifully by a professional artist or by a child in a first recital I have never failed to stop, close my eyes and thoroughly enjoy. For the kids I know that the pride in playing Beethoven is a thrill of a lifetime. I know because I've been there.
