Thanks so much for the evaluation! I do feel like I'm still getting used handling the voicing in large tuttis like this, so I will definitely be taking your suggestions on that to heart for future projects. I'm glad to see that you're feeling better, and I hope that trend continues!

I love the way Emily interpreted the section starting at bar 12. I heard it as a gradual build, but interpreting it more as a question-and-answer works.

Although you used more density of texture than I probably would, I loved the energy and the thought the pizz. strings accentuating the woodwind sixteenths after AA was a brilliant idea. I also thought your economy of resources (WW in pairs) admirable.

Great job bringing this music to life through orchestration! I personally loved the connecting eighth notes between the opening bars - it felt very classical to me and made it feel less like a chamber piece and more symphonic. I think potentially you might also want to consider not having the winds and strings double on the alternating sixteenth note figures.

Hello Emilly, I really like your score. There are many good things to learn from it. Thomas said "more Berlioz than Beethoven" : Whaouuu ! what a compliment !!! Well done !

Love this boisterous, lively score. I like the addition of repeating eighths in the transitions. Such a pity this entry is over so fast, I'd love to hear a completed version!

Emily, so much of your sound is innovative and surprising. But, I think you might want to take a step back, and revisit (or discover) some basic classical harmony and voice-leading. One of the basic rules is to treat each group (strings, wind and horns) separately, and get the harmony complete within each group. (Add the extra brass only when you need ‘extra oomph’). That might help you more easily reach your goals, and obtain a more ‘symphonic’ sound. I love your colour combinations and variations of texture. It’s a gorgeous Romantic approach.
