The early Beethoven is full of wonders. Just savour the Op. 9 string trios, the Op. 1 piano trios and the remarkable Op. 2 piano sonatas.

I only really truly care for middle and late Beethoven.

it has a dark, sad aspect but also luminous bits (2:40 to 3:00), a lyrical second movement, and for me an aristocratic, European feel that reminds me of the Hoffmeister quartet of Mozart and Schubert's trout quintet.

there always has to be at least one person that dislikes a work of art

+oreo31598 Indeed no matter how good a YT post is, there are likely to be a few dislikes. However fortunately it's not always the case. Occasionnally there are great YT posts with no dislikes.

Lol true. Probably some dork who didn't like the interpretation for some reason.

oreo31598 For example, I don't like this interpretation: it lacks of contrasts, of variety of sounds and situations, and moreover, the repetitions are a copy&paste of the first times (you can hear the same little details clearly). I think that is a choice which is not musical at all.

Wonderful music.I prefer this trio to the string Quartets:why two violins? One is enough-much more balanced this way.
