1963 Volkswagen Beetle Herbie Fully Loaded...
Hold on to your hats because the Volo Museum has an amazing exhibit that will blow your mind! The one and only Herbie from the hit Disney film "Herbie, Fully Loaded" is on display for all to see. This isn't just any Herbie though - of the 35 Herbies built for the movie this is the famous Junk Yard Personality Car that fans of the movie will recognize.
This screen-used version of Herbie is a true work of art, with seven miles of wiring and dozens of electric motors, servos, and other cutting-edge electronics that bring Herbie to life. It takes a skilled crew of six people to operate the switchboard and move Herbie's eyes, bumper, hood, doors, visors, antenna, and other parts to give him his human-like characteristics.
The best part is that this Herbie is the real deal - the Volo Museum acquired it directly from Disney Studios, complete with authentic documentation such as a title still in Disney's name, registration, and other Disney documents. What you see on this car isn't old rust and dirt - it's Hollywood makeup, carefully crafted to make this Herbie look as authentically aged as possible on the big screen.
