At last, some really GOOD Stormy cuddling! Not nearly enough, but still, she looked happy! Why not color or dye (with tea?) the newspaper before use? If you need a quick change-of-pace project, consider Mr. Roger's house set! His weird-looking coffee table may be too tough for even you, though... In early years a door led from the kitchen, behind Picture Picture, presumably to the back door and upstairs- a rarely seen office and bathroom with green fittings!

Tea-dying the paper is a good idea but it would have made it a bit more wrinkly and possible harder to lay flat. But I could have made for some fun texture too! I watched Mr. Rogers all the time as a kid. That mini set always intrigued me!

I think the spray paint gives off like a semi-translucent effect, almost like a ceramic glace where you can see a hint of the clay colour under, so this is perfect to me. I much prefer this over a completely uniform, plastic’y look.

For the stairwell, maybe look into ripping some pieces of newspaper to uncover the clapboard that wouldn't have been insulated, just finish boards for the walls. Maybe with some "insulation" look or great foam kind of peaking out that most don't look or see because it's an attic the Maitlands hadn't been able to reno before the dog did em dirty.

This is awesome! Love it so much. As a tip, red does better over a white or white-based color. I usually prime with a fuschia. It makes the red look much more even.

@@karakreations1103 Copyright is a tricky thing for sure. There is such a thing as 'Fair Use', I highly suggest you look into it. The base line of it is that you can't do anything that would take away from the Smurf franchise money. So don't show episodes or sell smurf items in a store. However, typically building something for yourself based on their franchise would be ok. However there is no guarantee. I have been safe so far with my Addams House and my Beetlejuice house, however I create these with the understanding that one day they may reach out and ask me to stop and I have to be ok with that. Anything I sell in my store is of my own original design however. Look up Fair Use and you can make a judgement for yourself ;) Even as a mouse house I am sure it will be super cute!!

The Triple-Thick Spray is one of my favorites to get a really high gloss shine! It dries incredibly fast as well so I never have to worry about any dust getting stuck in it! Highly suggest!

If you do put a clawfoot tub/shower in, it would be cool if the shower head was in the shape of Beetlejuice’s head (at the end of the movie when the stair railing turns into him). Or make it look like Delia’s sculpture of his snakelike head that she scares her husband with at the very end of the film, when he’s trying to relax at his desk. That would be one shower no one would want to use, and a fun reference to Beetlejuice.

Also, I know the study needs bookshelves and filing cabinets, but in old Victorians there were small doors to access under stairs storage or attic spaces; the shared wall of the study/attic would be a good spot to have such a door. And maybe something creeping out (sandworm tail?). I know you want to put some Beetlejuice touches to that under stairs space.
