To be fair I understand Nogla's confusion on the 9/11 thing because in Europe their date format is different; it's day/month/year for them instead of month/day/year. (I learned this because the only way to set Discord to using a 24hr time format is to set it to UK English in the settings, which also changes the date format.)

It's because of the UK uses a different date format, theirs is day/month/year so 9/11 for them would be the 9th of November. Also not every country cares about a tragedy that happened in the US or teaches about it.
