That was AWESOME! The battle between boyfriend and the corrupted brothers WAS PEAK and darwin tried his best to escape but if gumball get corrupted, so as darwin since they have a special bond, and the darkness took advantage of that, and I never thought that the darkness could make em fight like that, I thought they were killing machines lol (well they still are but darkness wanted to corrupt bf) WELL DONE THOUGH 10000000/10 :D

Okay. Well what if instead of pure strength and power. The corruption gives strength and powers up characters depending on their relevance to the plot and how much their world sorta ‘depends’ on them for the story to move forward. For example. People say a corrupted Ben 10 would be dangerous due to alien x, and as true as that is, the things that we’ve seen characters do in general are waaaay past what they’ve been shown to be casually capable of, for example some peeps like Finn and Jake, their worlds obviously revolve around them somewhat, despite there being so many powerful beings in the world in general, they’re still able to push through and end up making it, aaand consider gumball and Darwin, as as powerful as that bond of theirs is, not only are the laws of their world so dang malleable, but time after time it’s shown that their world quite literally revolves around them, we’ve never seen them harmed in a way that lasts or is permenant, for the sake of the plot or for a joke they’ve been able to do so many reality warping things, and because of that the darkness is able to use that specific aspect as a weapon. And then we go to someone like Ben, sure he somewhat depends on the plot in comparison, and he has that will to push through, but the laws of his world are somewhat more grounded and a bit more logical, with him using the omnitrix for his sort of ‘plot related’ power boosts. Another theory I suppose is that the darkness measures their potential depending on what they’ve seen from them in the show, I suggest that a corrupted alien X would or could be weak BECAUSE of how little he’s been shown in the actual show of Ben 10, that even the DARKNESS has been unable to see what he’s fully capable of, beings like that with confirmed infinite potential rather than the plot related kind would not only be off its radar to some degree, but would possibly end up being able to ‘outsmart’ it considering it doesn’t expect much out of them considering that fact. That’s what I figure. In summary. The darkness takes what they’ve seen from that character and world, and depending on how much the plot needs them, that determines how powerful it can make them, but if the scaling of them is more grounded, then it can’t do very much for them outside of what they can already do, and doubt their full capacity.

@@DrunkPanda239 yeah! Something along those lines. But there’s also something along those lines of beings that don’t fully fit that criteria who could possibly escape it. Like bf did for example. I wouldn’t mind someone making a sort of mod or what if for bf being able to resist the corruption in some way. Sure due to the whole rap battle barrier like some pibby mods do, but also maybe because of the fact of there being so many mods for bf out there. That the corruption wouldn’t be able to choose between each of them to interpret his power and or abilities, for example in some mods bf gets overconfident and dies, in the corruption mod soul bf exists when bfs body gets compromised, and although that sort of thing exists in its own continuity, I don’t doubt the darkness would be able to perceive them considering it somehow knows when and where to strike in order to catch characters off guard. And hell. Some people theorized that PIBBY in the scrapped trailer art for learning with pibby was gonna be able to resist the corruption due to the wound she had on her arm possibly being corrupted in some way. I absolutely despise the thought of the darkness being some unstoppable force with no room for error, after all even corrupted characters that really try can show emotion and try to break free from it. And if that’s possible then that means it has a limit of what I can fully do. (Extra side note: can someone give me the rundown on people’s obsession in most fnf mods and having bf get hoed and or fodderized compared to the stuff he’s had to deal with modded or not TvT)
