One thing I have noticed from watching your videos is that the words for "second," "fourth" and "fifth"-второй, четвёртый, and пятый respectively-have the same first three letters as the words for Tuesday, Thursday and Friday-вторник, четверг and пятница! Maybe the Russian equivalents for Tuesday, Thursday and Friday are actually the second, fourth, and fifth days of the week respectively.

nice, I couldn't see the last word. I think it's past tense ("understood"), though.

Can someone tell me if Russian uses ordinal indicators like English e.g. 1st, 2nd, 3rd etc? Are ordinal numbers abbreviated? Cheers

Great video for such a tough topic! I know that ordinal numbers are used with the genitive case to tell what day and year you were born in, what day it is today, what time it is, with the prepositive to say what floor you're living on or staying at a hotel but I can't think of any situation when ordinal numbers are used with cases other than the genitive and prepositive. Could you please help me better understand this? Thank you so much in advance!

Ситуаций может быть сколько угодно, и использовать можно любой падеж: Именительный - 2022-ый год всех нас шокировал Родительный - в коробке не хватает 3-его карандаша Дательный - дайте медаль 1-ому прибежавшему Винительный - я ненавижу 2022-ой год Творительный - я не доволен 2-ым местом Предложный - я родился в 2003-ем году

Hello. Could you please explain how to form ordinal numbers from numerals finally? Is there a rule with witch you can form one without knowing it by heart? Thank you!

Да, если разобрать числительные по составу, то все понятно будет: корень почти не меняется (изменения нужно либо выучить, либо иметь "чувство языка"), а окончания меняются, как у прилагательных

He answers that in the video (you put the last digit in its "ordinal form" and leave the rest as a cardinal number, just like we do in english). 22nd would be тридцать второй, for example.
