FELICITACIONES POR EL APORTE MUNDIAL. REFORESTAR ÁRBOLES NATIVOS PARA QUE VUELVA EL CICLO DE VIDA. LOS ÁRBOLES REGULAN LA TEMPERATURA EN LA CORTEZA TERRESTRE. NO EXISTIRÍA EL CALENTAMIENTO GLOBAL. NO EXISTIRÍA EL CAMBIO CLIMÁTICO. RESGUARDAN LAS NAPAS SUBTERRÁNEAS. PRIORIDAD PARA TODOS LOS PAÍSES DEL MUNDO. JUNTOS PODEMOS.

Thank you for your interest and input! A reply from Dr. Goyer: "I doubt seriously that there will be any monoculture issues with the widely scattered plantings of baldcypress that we are attempting to establish. There are thousands of acres of other trees, most notably various species of oaks, aggressive Chinese tallow trees, willow trees, and great expanses of marsh and open water where cypress and water tupelo once flourished. Only so many native trees species do well in consistently wet and flooded conditions (cypress being the most tolerant of those conditions) "I like black mangrove. I even planted a few on the floating islands in Bayou Bienvenue. They have a better chance of survival, however, on our immediate coastal locations. They are VERY cold intolerant. If they can get established farther inland some might survive, but we get a cold snap or two or more each winter and the newly planted ones are killed outright depending upon their exposure and duration of freezing temps. Several environmental groups are working with red and black mangrove. The black mangroves are more suited for us."
