I've tried to strain my "play sand" from Home Depot & it STILL clogs my Harbor Freight pressurized blaster. It get very frustrating. I'm going to try crushed glass.

You know that shit is dangerous as hell? Contains silica which does not get out of your lungs

Play sand is dangerous. You may be ok with wearing a mask but think about people around you and pets. Also play sand sometimes has moisture which would clog up the blaster.

Depending on your manufacture

Or you can just buy real glass beads and not crushed glass, but I guess if you're saving a buck...
@jamesdean99445 жыл бұрын
It has nothing to do with "saving a buck". Crushed glass and glass bead are two different types of media designed for different uses. Bead will produce a surface not optimal for primer adhesion, quite polished looking. Crushed offers the introduction of microscopic nooks and crannies which will promote adhesion. Inspector Dean's use of crushed as opposed to bead was the correct choice.

Use Paveing sand its cheap and already really fine to use but i suggest wearing a really good dust mask and always start blasting just before air compressor is about to turn off. and defiantly filter the sand like this guys says in the video because it will clogg up specially if you're pot blaster has a pee size nozzle
