I used an Amp simulator called Toontrack EzMix 2 for my tone. Basically all you need to do is set a clean guitar tone and add a fair amount of reverb to it. Reverb is what is going to give it that Echo effect.

That's true. I didn't record all the tracks from scratch myself I only played over the track. In hindsight I admit that the volume of the soundtrack itself is too loud. You can't hear my guitar properly. Thanks for the feedback I appreciate it!

Thanks a lot for wathcing my videos man! I appreciate it a lot. What I basically did was, I used a KZbin to MP3 converter to download the actual song onto my computer for use in my DAW.
