This is still practiced in Lebanon in the mountains where the Druze live. The groom goes to the brides house with his groomsman to get the bride where she is with her brides maids. They “carry” her out from the house and carry her back to the grooms fathers house (where he built an add-on home) in celebration like a parade. My dear friend is Druze and explained the beauty of this ancient custom and celebration still practiced today. ☺️

I started studying Bible prophecy almost a year ago. I was watching a video on KZbin and happened to run across a sermon by Amir tsarfati from behold israel. I would venture to say that I have learned more in the last year of my life than I did the 43 years before that. It has been absolutely wonderful getting closer to Jesus. I am super excited, waiting, watching, and expecting my Lord and Savior to come and call me home! I have tried many times to imagine are 7 year wedding feast and my poor pitiful little human brain cannot even wrap itself around how absolutely magnificent it will truly be! If Christ lives within you; if you claim Him as your Savior from the penalty of sin, then you can be assured you'll be included in the Rapture. It's not dependent on performance. Locked out of *THE WEDDING FOREVER* which was 7 days..........or 7 years in Juxtaposition to our wedding in Heaven to Jesus. Thus the WEEPING & GNASHING of teeth will be because those who weren't ready, even though they were Virgins (5 are left behind.........which is the exact same ratio as ONE is taken and ONE is left in the field), they missed the Rapture, and thus have to go through the Tribulation/70th week, where they must now become Martyrs all because the tarried. They can still make Heaven, but they will now have to pay the ultimate price. They must lay down their lives for Christ. I've heard of this from several Jewish believers in The Gospel of Jesus Christ talk about how a wedding in Galilee took place step by step. GOD'S ways are way above the ways of men, BUT I can see The Lord doing this in this manner. I put my hope in HIS return "The Blessed Hope" the gathering of HIS bride. Have been to many weddings in my life time having the blood of several ethnic backgrounds flowing through my body enjoying the way each culture celebrated weddings. This coming wedding & reception I yearn for. I don't even care if I have the last seat at the last table or have the job of serving the food. Amen Bro. Reagan... the almost sudden revelation to me that Jesus is coming soon drove me to the foot of the cross and i have left that sinful lifestyle. I've been in and out of the church since a child and just the thought of Him coming never crossed my mind much. But 4 years ago when I realized how soon it could be and recognized how far away I was at the time, it was more than I could process. It took a bit of time, you have to be purposeful in what you're doing and this is often something people fail to consider when coming to the Lord. It took a good year of constant change, including multiple failures... but now I'm working in the music ministry (Liberty Lighthouse in Sherman) and I strive every day to speak of His soon return to someone if nothing else, at least on facebook. People's lives SHOULD be changed, especially those who are already believers when they consider the hour is so near. Fear was my motivator but now I am filled with joy as we prepare, wait, and gather others for the Lord's kingdom! God bless you all my brothers and sisters. Today is THE day, don't waste another for He is coming soon!

I was lucky to catch "before the wrath" on Daystar and it's recorded on my dvr. I want EVERYONE to watch it. It pulls the Bible and that time period and the Galilean wedding traditions together and now I read the Bible and I'm like "Ohhh, now I really get it!". The pastor where I attend church will not say if he is pre or post tribulation. I will present this question to him and thank you Vic for your wisdom . How can we prepare if we aren't taught? I have These Final Days video but haven't watched it yet, and two books by Ryan Speakman. "...God in His great mercy is delaying the end so that as many as possible may be saved before it's too late." Overall, the documentary provided some very informative things about the Galileen weddings culture as conerns the words/sayings of Jesus. Im very glad I watched it. Although, I do have reservations about the documentary's emphatic claims of 'proving' Jesus and establishing doctrine via extra-biblical archeological research. The scriptures are suffecient unto themselves as revealed by God. Our confidence in God is FROM God and not in human observations found within libraries or archeological digs.

I had a dream the other night about snow white hiding from the handsome Prince. She was very shy yet he saw her and galloped very quickly and picked her up and put the princess on the horse. 7 year Tribulation is a preset 7 year cycle called a Shemitah cycle. Therefore it has to occur during a 7 year Shemitah cycle. And it will happen during Feast of Trumpets which is known as the Hidden Day, The Day of Blowing & others identifying events to happen during that Feast.

Joel Richardson has reached out to the filmmakers asking them to provide sources for the claims make in the film about Galilean weddings, but they've been unable to provide a single ancient source to back up their claims. He also confirmed that Jay is not an anthropologist as the film says, but only has a Master's in Chaplaincy. I do think it's important to test these things rather than blindly accepting the word of certain Bible teachers.

When Jesus turned water into wine, how long was that wedding feast? The answer, not seven days. A seven day feast is added to try to prove a false doctrine. Read Revelation 19. There is no preTrib.

I totally agree and eagerly anticipate the Rapture of the church, however doesn't the bible tell us in 2 Thessalonians 2:3-4 Let no one in any way deceive you, for it will not come unless the apostasy comes first, and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the son of destruction, who opposes and exalts himself above every so-called god or object of worship, so that he takes his seat in the temple of God, displaying himself as being God. I fully agree that we will escape the wrath but we need to be cautious and prepared as the bible tells us we will be persecuted ad go through many trials...... Blessings.

Please reread 2 Thessalonians 2:2:3 carefully in whatever Bible that you are comfortable or most familiar with and be aware of the following semantics: in the Geneva Bible (which precedes the KJV by 51 years) the word(s)“falling away” “rebellion” or “great apostasy” were originally translated as “the departure.” Bible scholar Dr. Andy Woods has some excellent teachings on the rapture that you can access here on KZbin. Once you understand that whatever word(s) your Bible uses in 2 Thessalonians 2:3 is actually a veiled reference to the rapture you will see that entire passage in a whole new light. So then it makes sense that the rapture must take place before the Antichrist is revealed and then you begin to realize just how imminent the rapture / departure truly is. Now, that doesn’t mean that we will not have to endure further trials and tribulations until the rapture but it does indicate that we will not be here when the world goes completely bonkers. The Restrainer, which is the Holy Spirit in all born again believers, must be removed before the AC is revealed because the AC can’t do his thing while God, in the form of the Holy Spirit, is on earth. Each of us born again believers is a temple of the Holy Spirit, and we are to respect and honor that temple. And Satan knows this and is pushing as much as he can but is only slightly able. He is permitted a little leeway so that all on earth will know we are in the season. We are in the birth pains. When the water breaks we will be removed instantly then the real labor pains begin - the tribulation.

None of them know of any document outside of the NT that give any details of any Jewish 1st century wedding customs. Somebody somewhere has made the whole thing up! It's a myth and we are told in scripture not to abandon sound doctrines in order to follow myths. Do feel free to point me to any original documents you know exist. Please understand that tribulation is not the same as God's wrath! Why pastors and believers assume this?! Didn't YESHUA said we have to go through tribulation and stand fast to the end? Tribulation is the events of the 4 first seals of revelation, starting with the white horse rider, the anti-christ. Rapture is the 5th seal. God's wrath starts with 6th. Read the verses. On the 5th, the saints claim how long untill judgement of evil. They were told to wait. Therefore, judgement has not happened yet by then! However, when the 6th is open, it is now said that the great day of wrath of God and the Lamb has come. So no, we will not go through wrath, but we will experience tribulation of the 4 horses. ALL verses in scripture point to this.

This is rapture: 1)The Lord himself will descend from heaven. 2)The dead in Christ will rise. 3)Those alive and remain will be changed. 4)They will caught up in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. 5)They will ascend to heaven to inhabit the dwelling places Jesus has prepared for them. Can you see all of the above when the 5th seal is opened? Obviously, you are looking for the rapture in the wrong passages.

You are shocked that the majority of Christians don’t believe in the rapture? That’s because it’s not biblical. All of the texts you referenced regarding wedding language is not some “new discovery.” It does refer to Christ’s return, just not to some unbiblical “rapture.” Your teaching of the rapture is actually dangerous to faith in Christ. There is no rapture and there is no 1,000 years of Christ’s reign on earth. This idea has its origin in Jewish mysticism. As a Christian pastor I most certainly teach and preach on biblical prophecies, all of which point to Christ’s return and the glorious establishment of Christ’s words in Matthew 25:31ff. Types and shadows in scripture are very interesting and sometimes informative and they should be left at that. Doctrine and EXPLICIT teaching stands as our authority, not practices of another culture that are not explicitly taught in the New Testament for Gentile believers.

The Tribulation is God's wrath on the unbelievers. True Christians are not under His wrath. Besides, the Antichrist will not be revealed to the world until the Restrainer is removed. Who is the Restrainer? It's the church!

Read revelation 16, after the sixth bowl, Jesus says he is still coming. We will be here for the bowls of wrath, just protected like the Israelites who had the blood of the lamb over their doorpost.

Judgment begins as soon as we are gone! We are not appointed to judgment or wrath, we are sealed by the Holy Spirit! Besides, there won't be any Christians on the earth when the Tribulation begins! Whoever heard of a Bridegroom beating up His Bride before the wedding and the wedding feast? You need to look at this logically.
