Before You Buy! - 2022 Certina DS Action 43mm Titanium - 1st Impressions (5 days)

I have two Certina ds action, both are 43mm titanium and steel (black-nato-strap)....for the powermatic 80 mechanism, I can say something perfect that Eta made, a lot of people don't even understand what it means and the success of people who they work to adjust the mechanisms with a laser without error, so you don't even need a regulator, and in all this the Nivachron spring (name and company, also under Swatch) has achieved the most, which contributes to accuracy and is resistant to temperatures and against magnets....both of mine are in 1-2 seconds + in 24h....people, I measured 81 hours until the clock stopped......thanks and respect to all...

It's not a watch problem. It's the wrist size to case diameter ratio. 43mm on a 6.25 wrist ???. 38mm I would recommend for 6.25 wrist.

Given your small wrists, get the 38mm version. It's ideal for you. The 43mm is perfect for my 19cm wrists.

As a guy with large wrists/hands/arms, the Certina fits me perfect, I pray they never down size it, those of you with smaller wrists have many more options. You don’t really want outer AR….it eventually scratches and is visible. I have never noticed it to be at all sharp. Agree on the Powermatic 80, both of mine (I have two of these, the other is blue) run about 1-2+ spd. Very impressive.

Yeh had buyers remose at the time, however a strap change has helped. It's more of a warning for others buying from overseas as Certina is not sold in many countries like where I live.

The best is to give a recommendation of the minimum wrist measurement. I would guess you need a 17cm wrist as minimum.

I have the Certina in steel, there is no sharpness anywhere that I feel and the adjustment works great on the very comfortable bracelet.

I like the design of Certina divers, they look better than Tissot divers in my opinion. And while 38mm version is too small for my taste I have been doubtful about the lugs of 43mm version. But a few days ago I tried it at a watch dealer. And was surprised that the l2l was not at all too long for my 17cm wrist. I looked both directly on the arm and in a mirror and it looked good. My wrist is wider than the l2l and the watch fits very good on my wrist. I think I have pretty flat wrists which results in large width in relation to the circumference.

I have 6.5inch wrist and the 38mm fits perfectly for me. In my case the extended lug of the last link is a plus!

@@taizzle70 just got the 38 as well and have a 6.5" wrist. It wears big but looks great! Really solid watch all around. Got the black dial two tone.

@@taizzle70 I feel you! I have a 17cm wrist and own the 38. Absolutely love it on the bracelet and it is one of my most worn watches. But I tried it on a rubber and a NATO strap and it looked way smaller. The protruding male endlink really does wonders in this case. I would love the ceramic bezel, as most of us around here. But 43 is way too big for my taste, even if I think my wrists could take it. Its just not my preference. The 38 is still awesome value for money and it can be had for way less money than these 43mm versions. Like 200 less. And finding a divers watch under 40mm from a reputable brand, under 1k, is pretty much impossible these days. So, I think it is a great option for those of us that do prefer a smaller watch.

It is meant to be a diving watch, not a dress watch. It is designed to be worn on top of the diving suit, and the crown is bigger (not big).

I have 7 inch wrists but would go for the 38 although it’s a pity the bracelet has less adjustment than on the 43

Fun fact: Citizen pioneered Titanium and ratcheting clasp and has special mixture of the best ar coating of any watch,that's why Citizen Chronomaster looks like it has no glass at all!!!

Might be the best dive watch for around $1000. I have this titanium model and I dont feel sharpness with the case or bracelet. I also love the divers extension. And the titatnium makes it so lightweight. Ceramic bezel. Iso certified. Stunning. Good review though. As others mentioned, maybe try the smaller one. The smaller titanium one doesnt have ceramic bezel tho.

6.25” wrist, and you’re trying to wear 42-43mm watches? You should try the same watch but in 38mm.

Yeh my Oceanus is 43mm, I can pull it off as it doesn't have protruding lugs. Certina doesn't make any smaller titanium watches to my knowledge.

Well... Didn't wanted to pointed that way, but this is just a men's watch. I love all the things that you said, you don't like. Probably because of my big wrist with beefy thick skin... But I guess it won't be comfortable for everyone
