Before You Buy The G80 M3 Watch This | Don't Overlook This When Buying A BMW

If you are buying a G80 M3 or any BMW, I suggest you look into this before leaving the dealership with one. In my first year of owning my G80 M3, i've already used utilized this warranty three times and they way this is panning out, it'll be saving me on the long run. One of the warranties that are sometimes overlooked could be your best purchase.
There are many others that have no idea about this or just overlook this warranty. I've talked to others about this and they always say, "yeah I should have added that".

I think I messaged you about this but I wasn’t giving them another dime. I found out about all the things they did wrong the day I was to pick up. Without going into too long a story, I made my order with allocation Dec 30 2022. They told me I locked in 4.49%. They told me I had til Feb 7 to make changes. I called Feb 6 to add full leather and they inform me the car is already in production so I can’t make changes. Fast forward to march 18, my car arrives. They can’t find my initial app so they never actually saved my interest rate. They did not add my sunroof as it is on their form. They added the m drive professional (drift package) which I didn’t want. Extra 900. Basically the sales manager said he’d sell the car then for 5k over if I don’t want it. Then he offered 1k off and gave me 48 hrs to think. I called bmw directly, and they told me not to make a complaint yet before I get the car and lose negotiating leverage. They gave me the names of everyone and their positions. So this is the next day and I get in touch with the gm. I got 2k off and 900 in accessories. Next day I’m going in to finalize. Middle manager pops in as I’m going thru all the extras like wheels package etc. He literally rudely tells us to hurry up he has people waiting (after I was early for my appt and started the process late due to their slowness). At that moment, I only bought the car, no extras and walked out. Rude manager and they don’t honor what they say. People asked why I still bought the car- -Other wait lists in the area were over a year out -they offered next allocation but see below -Interest rates continue to rise (they wouldn’t lock in current) -chance this m3 goes up in price for ‘24 -had no idea how fast the next allocation would come I’m hoping to keep this one until the last manual model comes and I’ll buy that. 2 mos in and I still want a sunroof. I don’t care about the resale value because I don’t plan on selling. I’d rather have the sun above my head lol. Car gorgeous but if I was able to spec it out, I want exactly what I ordered. 2k miles in and no problems. I avoid as much as I can with potholes etc. 3500 was just too steep as a just in case and that was wheels only. For everything they wanted almost 7k. I’d rather replace/fix if needed. I’m not hard on my cars.

Nice that you ended up getting sometime in the end but still very frustrating that you didn't get what you actually wanted and they didn't act professional when it there mistakes. Which accessories did you end up getting? I was only able to get the front floor liners, all weather rear mats and 2 key case :D

One of the places I go when changing tyres offered me the insurance. The guy said “just when you are ready to change, go and accidentally get a nail in the tyre and get it changed on the insurance”. I mean……maybe it would work. I didn’t take it and wouldn’t do that lol but I may take this out at the dealership when I pick up my G80.

Bro I have the Allstate platinum coverage. I bought my car in august and I have already had to get two brand new rear tires one each side because of nails. And also had to get my rim repaired. The dealer advised me that was the most important coverage to get for these types of cars. Glad I listened.

Regretted not getting insurance not even a month after taking delivery of F97 X3M. Was short lived though. I repaired it myself and the 2 other punctures we later got (barely over 5k on odo). To the tune of

All I can say, you must be driving on some very bad road and why don't you repair the tyres with what we see with a nail being the problem, which is repairable

I mentioned in the video that I live in a neighborhood that is in still development. So new homes are being built which unfortunately there are nails and other items in the streets. There are pros and cons to patching the tire One big issue I have with going to cheaper route with "reparing" (patching or plugging) is the safety concerns. One issue from the tire industry is that air and moisture can seep into the tire from the patch which can cause leaking. I personally would rather have a new tire than a patcher one. This coverage isn't for everybody but this video is more information to see if it aligns with their budget and lifestyle.

Yeah lighting in the garage is something I'll need to do eventually. Got some other house mods the Mrs. Want that's going to be pricey lol. Aluminum fencing and privacy plants in the yard. 🤯

I put a mini split a year ago and I can start working on the car at the peak of summer within 30min of turning it on. Great investment

I literally was swapping my summer tires back on last week and had a bubble in one tire from an apparent pothole. Took out a claim and got the tire replaced last week! I went for it based on my experience with cars that have low profile wheels/tires! I already know it was worth it 👍🏽 Always get the price down when working with finance guy. They would rather practically give it away then not have you purchase at all!

I'm looking to get a 2024 G82 M4 after wanting an M3 but I'd prefer to have the newest model year (and I'm splitting with my twin brother) so the coupe feel would be amazing. Although getting an allocation is seemingly difficult.

Yeah getting an allocation now is very difficult. And very time consuming to find the right dealership that won't charge you over sticker. You just got to keep asking around and hopefully you'll Land one

This video is 22mins long and I'm 6 mins in and you haven't talked about the topic referenced in the title of the video. You DO keep saying that "this is the video for me", but you haven't given me any information yet. Very helpful insight. I'm a build Week 25 right now and so I will have to make the decision on the Tire/Wheel warranty and/or any of the other warranties they are gonna push on me. Like, you I intend on keeping the car for awhile. I'm also getting a manual. #savethemanuals If I recall, on your F80 you had a Geico policy with the Mechanical Breakdown coverage and that justified not purchasing the extended maintenance warranty? Did you do the same here with the G80?

Awesome to hear that you are getting a manual! Yes I still have Geico's mechanical breakdown insurance. I just haven't made a video about it for this platform. It's still the same coverage as I had on the f80 m3. I also didn't know that the coverage cost is dependent on each state. The prices on that would vary. I still can't believe I'm paying such a low cost in the State of Florida for that.

The tire and wheel insurance is clutch. Used it a bunch of times on my F80 when I had it. Sucks about the dent though ☹️

The trick is to get tires from discount tire direct online. They have a no question asked warranty. I have called to get replacements while my tires were still good just to have extra sets

$3440 for all that coverage is actually pretty amazing compared to what my dealership offered me. $2679 for the wheel & tires coverage (5 years), $1175 for the ding coverage and $1295 for key replacement (5 years). And the finance manager said that he could only offered me those prices for the wheel & tires and ding coverage if I got both coverage. I probably could've negotiated a bit more but don't think there's any way I could get them down to $3400.

That all depends on which warranty program you select. In all the ones I've purchased, they replace the entire tire. No issues at all. For mine as long as it met the depth requirements. Meaning they won't replace overly worn out tires

Yeah that wheel and tire insurance is definitely worth it if you're keeping the car for that time period. I definitely plan on keeping this car minimum 5 years if not longer

One thing you could do, is if you ever need a whole new set of tires, you can look into tire rack. Tire rack has an option of purchasing insurance for each tire
