Diligenc is actually one thing that is lacking in a lot of pastors and their members. Was it not from the same internet that you got the accurate information that the video is a work of fiction ? Isn’t it diligence that will make anyone bring out the Bible to confirm what his or her pastor has said? On the alcohol and cigarettes issue, I neither drink nor smoke but I know that those acts aren’t what will make you forfeit heaven. The scriptures are clear enough. Abel Damina isn’t my pastor, but I’ve found out, through my personal study of the Bible, that though they may be hard to accept, a lot of what he teaches are correct. There are some things I am still doing my studies on. Another thing is, we Christians have this mentality that we must do something physical or sacrificial to deserve God ‘s love and blessings. That prescription is not in the bible, take it or leave it, scripture says... 2 Timothy 2:22. Flee youthful lusts, and pursue righteousness, faith, love, peace, with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart. Explanation The verse is a call to reject strong, uncontrolled desires that can lead to sin and separation from God. It applies to people of all ages, as these desires can continue throughout life. The term "youthful lusts" can refer to many things, including: Sexual lust, The desire for money, The desire for recognition and honor, The desire for power, and The desire for another person. etc. The verse encourages people to pursue God's desires instead, which include righteousness, faith, love, and peace.

The Bible describes lust as a sin that is selfish and harmful, and warns believers to guard against it. Some Bible verses that address lust include: Matthew 5:28 "But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart" 1 Corinthians 6:18 "Flee from sexual immorality. All other sins a person commits are outside the body, but whoever sins sexually, sins against their own body" Proverbs 6:25-28 "Can a man carry fire next to his chest and his clothes not be burned? Or can one walk on the hot coals and his feet not be scorched?" 2 Timothy 2:22 "So flee youthful passions and pursue righteousness, faith, love, and peace" Romans 13:14 "But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh, to gratify its desires" The Bible describes lust as a form of faithlessness and immorality that comes from the world, not from God. To overcome lust, the Bible suggests: - Fleeing from lust and sin (NOT DWELLING IN IT WHILE YOU LISTEN TO THE WORD OF GOD) - Focusing on God's love - Thinking about things that are TRUE, HONORABLE, RIGHT, PURE, LOVELY, ADMIRABLE, and PRAISEWORTHY.

George, welldone with your work... Facts over sentiments.... These self acclaimed Apostles will continue to have challenges with Dr. Damina, because he has said a lot about the 5 folds ministry and in his last couple of messages, tried to compress all office of bishop, evangelist, apostles etc into one. While they are criticizing his words and accusing him of pride, they should listen to him with open mind. No one is saying he has all the knowledge, but guy, most of these guys cannot give explanations to the extent he has, and this is why he keeps having followers. I love Takim with some of his teachings, but on this one, after watching this your clip, he will know that he messed up; taking a video that was wrongly crafted to discredit a studious pastor. George, I do not even agree that the video will inspire people to come close to God, it will only continue to paint a wrong picture of God to people and it is sad that Takim cannot accept the fact that the God he serve is not a God of destruction, except he is not serving the God that came to die for his own. How can a God who is willing that all men should be saved go about destroying the same people? You know, these people keep acting too holy, and they do not give basic explanations to bible texts, and this is the reason they cannot discredit Damina. How can a simple statement of "Alcohol & Cigaret is not a sin, result to all these? Was Paul stupid when he was taking to Timothy to drink Alchohol for the stomach sake? Was Moses stupid when he asked that they use the tithe money to buy fermented wine? This is the words of Jesus in Matt 11:19 "The Son of Man came eating and drinking, and they say, ‘Here is a glutton and a drunkard, a friend of tax collectors and sinners.’ But wisdom is proved right by her deeds.” How do they explain that part? Abi the drunkard there na drunkard of non alcoholic wine? Or was the wine served at the wedding of Cana non alcoholic? Damina in his words said, you have to use your discretion to know morales.... to know your limits and the implication to your health. Noah drank, and passed out, Did that send him to hell? Why do Nigerians behave like tgey are the custodians of Christianity sef? Odoma is saying Damina is mixing his small truth with a lot of lies where as he is the one doing it to discredit Damina... He claimed Damina is confused because Damina said there was no physical eating of fruit (I know you said you subscribe to what he said) but failed to tell us if there were two physical trees that had those fruits growing in them, and if the serpent actually spoke with a voice to Eve. Odoma should please explain why God chased them from reaching the Tree of Life so that they live forever and God came down in Jesus to die for them so that they can reach the tree of life and live forever, These and a lot more are questions that had been in the mind of people for a very long time; and when Damina comes with his explanation and clarity, quoting the words of Jesus and they make sense to people who have been seeking answers to these questions, how do you expect them not to listen to him? Odoma said a lot, yet did not really give proper explanation with bible references for clarification, so to me, he is just bent of discrediting Damina without clarification. He claimed what Damina is doing is as a result of 4 decades of wrong teaching, I thought he said some time back that what Damina is doing now, he (Odoma) started these things while Damina was still doing Pentecostal Voodoo, why did he not bring these clarification all these while? Damina has given so much explanation to people unanswered question, and he goes about organizing question and answer session, and you think 4 decades of wrong teachings will not submit to him? George, let me stop, before my comment long like your video (Though I love your videos long, cos it gives you time to analyze things) But George, "The illiterate of the 21st century are those who are not ready to learn, unlearn and relearn", "The age of a lie does not make it become true". Damina is not a perfect one, neither does he have the brain of God downloaded into him, but the explanations he has given to so many texts in the bible is far more than what all these apostles put together has ever done. Why do these apostles not criticize those charlatans, but Damina is their problem? I'm even waiting for you to talk on the prophet that told two men to open their butt in a live service. Hope you know you did not properly analyze the Korede Komaiya's message, I still dey wait for you. That man implied Jesus would not have died if he was a millionaire. That man said Pilate released Jesus's body to Joseph for burial because Joseph was wealthy, else Jesus would still be on the cross, and that Pilate said he didn't know Joseph know's Him, else he wouldn't have killed Him. That man said that if the triumphant entry was done in this time, Jesus would have asked them to go get Rolls-Royce that hadn't been ridden and a whole lot of other things... I believe you know the implications of these statements. Odoma did not see this one as a confused Pastor, It is the one that quoted Jesus in Matt 15:11 that is confused.
@TheUche7710 күн бұрын
Damina quoted a scripture from Mark 7 that what we eat or drink does not define us. Odoma talked for almost 25 mins quoting no single Bible verse to show that smoking is sin. I know that it is what comes from the heart of a man that defiles him not what goes through his gullet. As a Christian, I should have the self control to take the quantity of alcohol I want to take just the same way I should take the quantity of food or water I need per time, but instituting that drinking alcohol is sin because I cannot moderate my drinking is wrong teaching. We cannot be holier than the Holy Spirit!

The undoing of many Christians in these last days is the fact that they have built their spiritual lives around their spiritual leaders without the willingness to know God and establish personal relationship with him and to study the Bible just like Jesus commanded. Anything anyone says in the name of preaching that is not according to the word of the Creator of the Universe, the God Almighty and Jesus Christ the son of God, that individual will give an account of it on the judgement day. What made me a sinner is not the sin i commit but that i was born a sinner and so i sinned. What made me righteous is not my righteous deeds but that i was born of God. This is as simple as it is. We want to break out of sin. So we preach sin. Yes, It is good to be free from sin but the revelation of Christ is what makes freedom possible. Relationship with God produces morality (temperance or self control in this context) but good morals is not what makes men l Christ-like or righteous. How do you free a man that is addicted to smoking or drunkenness or even drugs? Is it by telling him to abstain or is it by preaching Christ? I do not know but what i know is that Christ is light and in Him there is no darkness. What I am saying is that the real sin is in rejecting Christ that saves from sin. Just a passing. The issue with most people is that they hate Damina's expression & immediately rule off what he's saying because of his tone. But when you pay attention to his teachings, he extensively uses the bible as his point of referrence in order to clarify a point, which makes his explanation believable because he takes time to show you anything to do with a particular subject matter from the word of God. For example, when he's asked about any biblical question, he'll not just give you a yes or no answer, but he'll give you the background to show you the when, what, who, how and why was it like that, in order to give you the well rounded answer according to what the bible is communicating. Of which, just by listening to most Pastors, they just disagree with him but fail to produce scriptural evidence by using scripture to back up their claims. An intelligent bible scholar isn't interested in sophisticated analogy and spiritual dimensions to prove a point. The Bible is a message and therefore a true student wants to understand the core message of the whole bible. If your knowledge of God is not based on what the bible is explaining & has already revealed then your doctrine is already in error, despite intelligent articulations. It's not about what a Pastor thinks, but what the word of God says.

Drinking and smoking are not sinful, but the end thereof is the challenge. For someone who was smoking or drinking before giving his/her life to Christ, its an addiction you can't overcome in a flash. Noah was not called a sinner for drinking into drunkiness. So, prevention is altogether better.

The sin nature in us is what make us sinners and not what we drink or eat as explained in Romans ch 7. We are sinners that’s why we sin and NOT sin that make us sinners. I think most of those pastors don't understand what the sin nature is all about. Apostle Takim and Co are wrong in their understanding of holiness and the sin nature.
@Pharmsam11 күн бұрын
A believer has no business with Sin, Christ in You, meaning you and sin can never meet, But we are still in mortality, does it mean we can't sin? No ,we do, so how can we explain this, that's why our mediator, the advocate continuously cleanses us from sin, so the nature of sin is defeated once and for all, and for Christ to be in you mean you are righteous and holy before God. Now Jesus is the saviour and the keeper of salvation able to save up to the uttermost

I do understand, Dr. Damina and i do agree that drinking and smoking is not a sin. Then again we have to understand that in order to walk in the way of righteousness we have to be deciplined and focused so, if you can not decipline yourself enough to stay away from things that can kill you then, how will you learn on how to be deciplined enough to obey the commandments of God. Morality and salvation walk together.

Please continue to do what you're doing by the grace of God. I believe you're anointed for this service. Don't focus on the negative comments some people are giving you. I've been watching you for a while now without commenting and i believe many are blessed for your program but are still attentively watching and listening that you don't know of and silently learning the truth about many matters. ■Everytime i read, watch and listen to anything, first of all i read the disclaimer so i get my brain conditioned to whether it's fiction, non fiction, truth or lies. I don't think people should be making fake stories for inspirational purposes out of real life experiences like the wild fires outbreak in USA and any natural disasters globally. Rev.E.O.A.

19:06 I stand on what he's saying here. I have been seeing people talking about this thing, some people even said it's because of something that was said in the Golden Globes 🤦🏾♀️🤦🏾♀️. The woman wasn't even mocking God, people need to understand what is being said before reacting. There's all kinds of things happening in the USA, have been happening for centuries, don't forget all the bloodshed and grape of a certain people and then further mistreatments of many others since then, but God decided to punish ordinary citizens in California because the celebrities like Paris Hilton and co have insurance that will rebuild their houses 🤷🏾♀️🤷🏾♀️ There's also the fact that the Catholic Church in the same state paid off victims of child SA with hundreds of millions. God is for sure angry but we can't be the ones to pick what sin will provoke fire. We in Nigeria can't even occupy the office of morality police, let's not even go there. We love to talk about the revival coming from Africa, meanwhile look at the way we are bickering 🤦🏾♀️🤦🏾♀️ . The "testimony" is difficult for me to believe because we've heard so many, I won't just swallow anything I hear again, especially things that can't be verified. Facts over sentiments, my brother. It seems like Christians prefer fables to things that are in front of them, we just want unbelievable things and scary spectacles. Just remember the incident that happened when Elijah was resting; there was wind and fire but Yahuah Elohim wasn't in it.

I live in California, there is sin all over the world. Many Christians lost the homes in LA fire. Are these pastors saying God punish the Christians who lost their houses because of the so called sinners? What of the tanker fire that have in Nigeria last week was it God that was punishing the people.

Thank you for bringing this up. The Bible is a word of truth, truth has no duplicate, truth is truth. The word of God is synonymous to an instrument used in standardisation. If you hear anything online and you able to reflect it under the word of God which is the truth, you won’t run into error. If this Pastor was diligent and educated enough to subject the fictional video to the word of God, the truth of the word would have set him free. Our God is not a wicked God, He does only good. Hello George, I have been following you for some time now, and I must say your critical thinking ability is good, dealing with facts over sentiments even though you might not be 100% correct. Just want to add my voice to the contention around Damina's message about drinking and smoking. In Galatians 6 v 19 - 21, The acts of the flesh are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity and debauchery; 20 idolatry and witchcraft; hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions 21 and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like. I warn you, as I did before, that those who live like this will not inherit the kingdom of God. In v 21, the Bible says "and the like", meaning those things mentioned in the Bible were not an exhaustive list but other things of similar nature God also abhors. So the Bible might not have mentioned smoking but smoking falls in the category of "and the like". God bless you

There are Christians who don't smoke nor drink alcohol, but for different reasons. The first group are those who don't smoke, not out of fear of going to hell, but they have grown spiritually through sound doctrinal teachings, and they also know the benefits of living a healthy lifestyle. The second group don't smoke or drink because they are afraid of going to hell. This is the group that is not properly discipled and are serving God in ignorance and hypocrisy.
