I completely agree with "don't bring the baggage", I also tried to do this with my first Go project. Now I am seeing this approach everywhere... I think people should not adjust Go to what they think it should be, they should adjust their thinking to what Go offers and how it solved problems.

2:42: just for compiled, we need Go. Without go installed too we can run the binary, as you have mentioned few seconds before, ( as the runtime is backed-into the binary). I believe you, have the same intention.

2:06 JavScript isn't interpreted, and isn't readed line by line. Every engine even old ones compile JavaScript code to machine code and execute. Its not compiled line by line, just executed by enclosed lexical scopes.
