People wanting to pay babysitters so little is crazy. If you want cheaper child care vote for politicians that say they will provide childcare for a reasonable price. As for "influencers" asking for free stuff with so little followers, I find it so cheesy. My friend has millions of followers on Insta and she does not ask for free stuff, but will take it if offered and promote on her reels or stories.

I used to be in amateur photography, and long story short one day my local kebab man had me take photos of him and tried to give me something free in return, I kept refusing and he wouldn't allow that, so in the end I settled on a can of coke as it was the cheapest and most inconsequential thing I could think of. This sorta backfired though as every time I went there afterwards he'd give me discounts, extra food for free, just lots of stuff! I hated it! I loved this place and the people there and wanted to support their business! But he would not stop giving me free things! Watching this video it makes me feel like it's the opposite of choosing beggar stuff, like he kept wanting to give me free things in exchange for exposure, and I just kept refusing that cause I wanted to pay in money haha

In defence of the lady asking a younger kid, like 9 to 13, to hang out with her kid for a couple bucks while she was home and give the kids snacks and dinner, I think it is reasonable. I used to look after my neighbour. I love her very much she's my favourite girl in the world. BUT Her dad comes in hours early. I was told I would look after her for 2 hours, but it went closer to 5 hours, and she had no clothes besides a nappy and some shorts. I didn't know or want to change a nappy, and that boundary was set. I got fuck all for looking after her. She didn't nap either, and my house is far from baby-safe lego everywhere. I didn't mind if I kept an eye on her for half an hour. now I watch tv with her, so it's fine But several hours with nothing in return and no thank you from the dad might I add What the lady is asking for is perfectly reasonable.

@8:45 So, child slave labour? Kids young enough to need babysitters themselves babysitting a 5 year old is undeniably a bad idea. And calling a job something else doesn't make it not a job. "Internet challenge! My toilet is broken, any plumbers want to show off their skills in a competition to see who can get to my place first and fix the toilet. I will totally shout out the winner!" "I want someone to play with my vacuum and clean my floors. It's not like, being a cleaning service, you're playing with the vacuum. I'll even throw a buck every vacuum play session." "Who wants the awesome chance to practice cosmetology skills? Come to me and do my nails, hair, and facial, bring all the supplies, and practice your skills. You must be a professional with 10 years experience and already well established in your field. But you know, you always need to practice." Also, only a terrible parent would have a complete stranger elementary schooler be in charge of babysitting a 5 y/o. Though, you would have to be an even worse parent to even consider allowing your young, elementary aged child go to a complete stranger's home, be alone with this clearly mentally unstable delusional woman and her 5 y/o, for, at best, providing slave labor and *working a job* they are 100% not qualified to do or really capable of doing. These are kids, they should be kids, not responsible for a toddler. Would OP let her kid do this in a couple years? Because she shouldn't have custody if she would allow that.

honestly the influencer at the restaurant @ roughly 4:30 was more in the right then the business owner, how fucking weird to come back with that when the main way a restaurant gains popularity is through good reviews (although usually the food is still paid for so granted she’s wrong in that aspect but that aspect along) & positive word of mouth, the owner deciding that she didn’t have a right to review the restaurant whilst at the same time making an incredibly rude yet personal statement about said potential customer/reviewer is foul and a way to cost yourself business since now anyone she knows is gonna be told to avoid the place and anyone who’s seen the screenshots will assume they have a shitty kitchen since they are so pissed about the concept of a review, something every human with internet has the power to do for any restaurant they want without even having to prove you’ve been there, owner is a mental case of rudeness and self entitled egomania and the influencer sounds naive at worst

Honestly speaking if I was a restaurant or hotel owner or salon owner or whatever and I constantly had pricks coming up to me saying "Hey I'm an influencer, let me have free/discounted stuff and I'll tell my fans to come here" I'd come up with a strategy. I'd ask them for a way to deposit money back into their account and still charge them. However, if enough people came by and said "Hey, Influencer XYZ told me to come here!" and the value of the business I got from people who gave a certain influencer's name was enough to pay for what the influencer paid like 5 times over, I'd give that influencer a full refund. Worst case scenario, someone's convinced their family or friends to come to my place and spend 5x what they spent in order to get free money. Best case scenario, I actually get advertising that's worked in great enough effect and maybe some new repeat customers.
@princesskaraplays905
@princesskaraplays905 8 ай бұрын
yeah but that’s not how it works, either you comp their meal (and i say meal specifically since no other industry would dare even try this) in hopes of more clients whilst eating the loss if you don’t get those clients, or you make the person pay and risk an awful review, but under no circumstance is a restaurant or hotel (or something that isn’t a big multinational conglomerate chain or online retailer) going to accept that possibility because what’s the timeframe before the manager says “no refund since it took you too long to get x amount of people behind the door” or any other excuse to take your money and your advertising, long story short? your idea is a fucking dumb one and you should never run a business

@potato1341

@@anyexpat It wouldn't be a lot of work, it'd be a few entries into a database (Could even integrate the feature into the computer system). Plus that might be a good connection to build, a few repeat customers and you virtually have nothing to lose. And it depends on too many factors to just write off the idea cause "influencers are useless for local business" if you're in a decent location or get a good enough review from a large enough creator, that could be huge for a small company.

@@potato1341 Not everything has to be the most modern version. Restaurant advertising has to by hyper local, influencers have the exact opposite demographic. I know Restaurant owners that have wasted money on these people. I have 3.5 Million members of my FB groups but i would never try to advertise a local restaurant as its not a fit. Much better to run local adverts on FB/GOOGLE or print off some leaflets and go door to door. Reaching people in far away countries is pointless.

These "influencers" have some confidence on them to be fair. To ask a company to give you a free VIP experience at a night club for 1 Instagram post on an account with 3k and not expect any sort of anger or disagreement from the owners is brave.

3k followers and 20% are fake, leaving 2400 then 90% of those are overseas. Leaving 240 / half of those are too young to enter the club leaving 120 / and those are scattered throughout the country / 5 locals who might potentially go, but as its the only place in town they probably go already.

I think you're confusing confidence & bravery with being so dumb & diluted, that they actually think they have something to offer.

2:23 im 99% sure he didn't ask her to do this, from what I can find (I did some digging but not an insane amount) she just didn't like that he didn't have a wife so she decided to do it for him. She's still fucking mad tho

To be fair, several U.S. states have their own minimum wage that's about the same. Of course generally not the ones who "really care hard-working Amuricans".
